Hey Rick, none of us suffer from insanity-we enjoy every minute of it ! All the t-shirt talk is just tongue in cheek stuff really, atleast I think it is,isn't it?!

I was fortunate enough to see the Undertones in St. Paul Minnesota, Usa, opening for the David Johansen Group and The Clash in 1979. What a great bill. The Undertones were fantastic. I don't believe they ever returned here again. Does anybody have any info on them playing any stateside reunion shows?

Donald @ on 05:02 15th-Jan-00 GMT #87d-212
Re- Rick and the statement that after the T Shirt debate, the site is Anorakish. Great idea , I have a :- 1978 snorkel parka - green with grey/white lined hood. As above but in blue with longer fur trim. 1990 Kagoul - blue Kangol with blue stitching. Anyone else have nice anoraks or have I taken it too seriously and missed the point?

Having been named and shamed I have just tried to vote. Unfortunately the machine tells me that the URL/Post does not alow me to do so. Anyone got any idea what this means as I have selected the best sixty minutes of Tones magic - bar none and I wouldn't want any of you sad cases out there to be deprived of the essential selection.

The Anorak debate: yes I had all of those classic garments mentioned by Donald, but did anyone else have the ultimate late 70’s fashion item . . . . the Harrington jacket! If you didn’t have one in our school you were Jack $h1t! . . . . J J O’Neill famously wore a light blue one (as mentioned by someone else on these pages recently) but round our way it had to be black with red tartan lining. If not, you were probably a poof/girl/Bristol Rovers fan!

Check out the NME site for some interesting comments from the boys about Feargal.

Simon Ward @ on 05:02 15th-Jan-00 GMT #87d-222
Can anyone tell me how to open the Undertones Companion - do I need to download some software?

Cliff @ on 05:02 15th-Jan-00 GMT #87d-223
Regarding Feargal's comment, "A healthy disrespect for ageing popstars" I think this is all very well to say in hindsight but what if things had been different ? If ' The Sin Of Pride ' had been a great success and the band had gone from strength to strength and kept going for many years, making loads of money along the way, would he really have turned around in the middle of it all and said, " Sorry lads but I don't want to be a middle aged pop star so I'm leaving now ? " I doubt it.

Having bought the singles box set I'm interested to discover that the thirteenth single 'Chain Of Love' missing. Anyone know why? Also, has anyone noticed the different beginning to 'Emergency Cases'on the DOJO 1994 CD release of 'Teenage Kicks'? Is this a different recording?
