I think Wimbledon will need a miracle rather than a push to make the play-offs! CMoS on ? GMT #a5b-3661 Any (not Quite) Summer Holiday stories Cliff ? Donald on ? GMT #4c5-3662 Class pics Cliff, you're face is priceless (but we know that anyway). Anyone else got trips planned to keep the tour going? Lindsay on ? GMT #aec-3663 Hang on a minute, have I been robbed or what? I was told £15+P&P for the Unearthed by both Cliff and Donald (and I've gone and told Jon the same). You two haven't got shares in Nasty records have you?! How come George got it for £12? Is it now in the sale?? CMoS on ? GMT #a5b-3664 The french and all are free to the wind George on ? GMT #2a7-3665 The Undertones were wrongly given as an answer to a question on tonights University Challenge. The correct answer being Stiff Little Fingers. The follow up questions involved The Clash and Sham 69. Perhaps I did get a discount after all for collecting my LP. It did cost me £3 in diesel and wear and tear on my car, plus a drive into Newcastle to get it though. Has CMoS been reading books by Eric Cantona? Nigel on ? GMT #6fd-3666 Saw SLF on Friday night great live band,I went with a couple of mates and had a good time,Theatre of Hate were supporting them aswell as another band so was worth the money.CR hope you get to see them very good.Cliff nice photos! Donald on ? GMT #b90-3667 I paid £15 for the album + £2.50 P+P. It was originally £12 but suddenly went up probably due to demand. Imagine thinking an Essex wide boy + tight Scotsman would rip anyone off.So Theatre of Hate + Spear of Destiny many times Nigel, great band.Cmos have you been on the pop again? Steve on ? GMT #426-3668 Donald, CMoS has put together a small page on Theatre of Hate/ Spear of Destiny you can get to it via the link above. It does fail to mention Kirk's first band The Pack of lies, anybody else remember them? Kirk is now forced to tour regularly because of his bankrupcy after the trial with his lover Boy George. I too saw S O D a few times in the 80's, the only problem was they always had abunch of, what can only be described as as-sholes following them around, who would do that mad chicken dance down the front, things used to get pretty nasty at most of the shows i went to. The Dickies must be the only band where the records are rearer if you have them on black vynil as opposed to coloured. I have all the early singles and they are all on coloured vynil, i do not know of anyone who has them on black vynil! CMoS are you listening to meatloaf again????? Steve on ? GMT [whom.co.uk/html/music.htm] #6a1-3669 I forgot to include the link.....And i think i meant rarer not rearer!!!!!! Cliff on ? GMT #569-3670 Yes the look on my face says it all dosent it.kind of "stop laughing and just take the d@mn photo...quick"! Lindsay, if you were ripped off it wasn't by us, honest(guv). The bloke DID put the price up after I'd bought mine, maybe coz I said I could probably get him more orders.(shouldn't that bring the price down?).Anyway, we all know how flash you yorkies are with your money.(bit like the jocks in that respect). Cliff on ? GMT #569-3671 Saw the Exploited on TOTP 2 on saturday, I missed the thursday edition advertised by Lindsay. They looked a bit out of date didn't they?like the pistols but 5 years later. When you consider that the 'tones had moved on to Positive Touch by that time(1981).Decent song though "dead cities" although it sounded like "DCDC".Anybody know anything about "the Saints"? I bought "this perfect day"(1977)on auction a couple of weeks ago and can't stop playing it. Donald on ? GMT #b90-3672 Thanks Steve, I'll follow the link up. The slam dancing did get a bit hectic at the front but the music was worth it. Saw them a few of years back at Brighton but it was just really Kirk with some session musicians and lacked any force. Apparently , he was driving a cab for a while in Brighton. Played pinball beside him at Aviemore, hows that for a claim to fame.I'm still trying to think of excuses as to why I am having my photo taken with a lobster for my holidays although with my pale skin its usually me who resembles the lobster Cliff on ? GMT #569-3673 How about outside Edinburgh castle Donald? Donald on ? GMT #b90-3674 Not a bad idea Cliff. We could all have a pic taken outside a famous local place, we could even allow football grounds (or pigeon coops for those in Yorkshire)
