The Undertones were wrongly given as an answer to a question on tonights University Challenge. The correct answer being Stiff Little Fingers. The follow up questions involved The Clash and Sham 69. Perhaps I did get a discount after all for collecting my LP. It did cost me £3 in diesel and wear and tear on my car, plus a drive into Newcastle to get it though. Has CMoS been reading books by Eric Cantona?

Saw SLF on Friday night great live band,I went with a couple of mates and had a good time,Theatre of Hate were supporting them aswell as another band so was worth the money.CR hope you get to see them very good.Cliff nice photos!

I paid £15 for the album + £2.50 P+P. It was originally £12 but suddenly went up probably due to demand. Imagine thinking an Essex wide boy + tight Scotsman would rip anyone off.So Theatre of Hate + Spear of Destiny many times Nigel, great band.Cmos have you been on the pop again?

It does fail to mention Kirk's first band The Pack of lies, anybody else remember them? Kirk is now forced to tour regularly because of his bankrupcy after the trial with his lover Boy George. I too saw S O D a few times in the 80's, the only problem was they always had abunch of, what can only be described as as-sholes following them around, who would do that mad chicken dance down the front, things used to get pretty nasty at most of the shows i went to. The Dickies must be the only band where the records are rearer if you have them on black vynil as opposed to coloured. I have all the early singles and they are all on coloured vynil, i do not know of anyone who has them on black vynil! CMoS are you listening to meatloaf again?????

Saw the Exploited on TOTP 2 on saturday, I missed the thursday edition advertised by Lindsay.They looked a bit out of date didn't they?like the pistols but 5 years later.When you consider that the 'tones had moved on to Positive Touch by that time(1981).Decent song though "dead cities" although it sounded like "DCDC".Anybody know anything about "the Saints"? I bought "this perfect day"(1977)on auction a couple of weeks ago and can't stop playing it.

Saw them a few of years back at Brighton but it was just really Kirk with some session musicians and lacked any force. Apparently , he was driving a cab for a while in Brighton.
