I'll have to look out for the new Ash stuff. I spoke to Tim a few years back on a NME chat site, and he was totally influenced by the Undertones. At that time, he was really upset at Skunk Anise's version of Teenage Kicks. If people are interested I can digitize my 999 stuff, as I have Separates, Biggest Tour in Sport, Biggest Prize in Sport, Wild Sun, the very first album and the second album still Emergency?. I even have a really bad video of them years later without Jon Watson on Bass. What happened to that guy anyways? Did he die? Leave the band? I have a Trouser Press coming from 1978 with an article and pictures of the Undertones, lookng forward to that. 999 were the very first gig I went to here in the States in 1979 they headlined with the Dickies here in Los Angeles at the Santa Monica Civic. I have the US tribute album to the Undertones also, which is absolute crap! What amazed me was that any bands here in the US ever knew of the Undertones. This tribute Here Comes the Summer appears to have been done by contacting little known bands and asking them to do cover songs. Little known bands plus Undertones songs didn't make a very good combonation. GD on ? After hours of searching the attic for old Undertone's stuff I came across this christmas that they sent my family when they were on tour. I have scanned it so I will forward it onto CMos so he can post it for all to see. The card is a bit dusty so before any of you say anything bad about me & the family, "I am sorry".
