Travel details are far more promising than I was expecting. Monday mornings are my sticking point at the moment as too many people have already booked holiday or decided to leave at our place. If there were some confirmed details about the timing on the 5th I might almost start dancing in the street (and that's not a pretty sight). Anyone definitely going ? If anyone hears anything I'm sure you will post it here won't you ?

Cliff on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #681-5101
Lee,yeah the time that the band actually go on stage is very important if you're planning to fly home the same night.Does anybody know the answer to this? But then I suppose its to early for this sort of info considering the Belfast gig is 2 months away. From a personal point of view Belfast seems the least likely that I'll go to,flights for that weekend seem expensive.Letterkenny is almost certain for me,it helps being in July and on a Sunday, also the Derry gig is a decent chance. Why dont you aim for either of those?

Cliff on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #681-5102
The problem with letterkenny is getting there from Derry. If anybody sees a slightly overweight, bespectacled, very young looking bloke with a lobster t-shirt, thumbing a lift....PLEASE STOP!

Lee on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #fb0-5103
Letterkenny is when I should be sunning myself in probably not so sunny Cornwall and unless I want to risk the divorce statistics I would say there is not a chance of getting there. If there are any psychics out there who could let me know if we are going to meet the monthly work deadline on Friday 10th August which we haven't managed to achieve for at least 6 months if not longer it might help. What do you think of the chances of getting efverything booked on the Friday or even the Saturday ?

George on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #9ba-5104
I will definitely go to one of the concerts. Hopefully the same one as the majority of contributors. I assume Cliff that your spectacles will almost be sharing your birthday cos' it is just over a year ago that they got trampled underfoot at the Mean Fiddler.

Cliff on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #eb3-5105
Thank's for the memories George! I'll bet no set of specs have met with such a fine end in the history of man(or woman)kind.

you will indeed meet your target for August, it has been written.Go forth and book with easyjet my son.

George on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #9ba-5107
Fame at last. I've just had a reply published in the Daily Mail today, Pg 58, about me not being able to ride a bike at the age of 39. I didn't mention the Undertones though, so an opportunity wasted.

heavenly helpers assistant on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #9ba-5108
If you and your colleagues do very little work in July, Lee, will that not make it easier to meet your work deadline in August? Alternatively just work your socks off whilst thinking of the incentive at the end.

Another v. happy birthday to Cliff from an occasional poster. Remember, you may be 40 years old, but you're still a teenager in tortoise years, and they're the ones that count. (We actually met at the Astoria gig - I introduced myself to various other .netters before the gig. The memory is somewhat hazy unfortunately - My big mistake that night was in having too many beers beforehand, thus dulling the impact of finally seeing the Undertones live.)

NIGEL on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #663-5110
Happy birthday Cliff all the best people are born in June,go and play the Ramones album at the loudest and have a beer, I did Saturday night and had a great time.

doninblack on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #9d5-5111
Cliff, Happy Birthday. Good to see that people of our age can still fall under stages and get their specs smashed at gigs. Respect! I had a mate who, for no known reason, got under the stage at a Radio Stars gig, and cos he was so pissed, actually fell asleep and missed the whole performance. Who needs sleeping tablets when you can go to a gig for some kip!

Lindsay on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #e4e-5112
Happy Birthday Rick - were you born on Friday the 13th by any chance? (only joking - have a humdinger of a day). Lee, forget the aches and pains, George needs your help (do they make stabilisers for adult bikes?).

Rick @ on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #c16-5113
Thanks Lindsay - yes I am the spawn of Beelzebub, have 666 on my scalp and am really called Damian (Omen II).

Cliff on 05:51 6th-Dec-00 GMT #524-5114
Well thats all that fuss over with! the highlight of the day was beating my brother-in-law at snooker.I had the predictable "CLIFF 40 TODAY" poster stuck to a telegraph pole halfway up my road, but as I'm fairly new to this street nobody realised it was me coz obviously they all think I'm in my early 30's.Happy Birthday Rick, the 666 thing does explain a lot.I dont imagine you as the type of bloke who'll be out at lunch time getting p*ssed, am I wrong? IF the Undertones play in London again this year,we know you'll be there,so I'll buy you a drink.
