I run a indie label in Las Vegas & I'm interested in putting out some Undertones (current line-up), Moondogs, Protex, & similar bands from the same era. Can anyone help me contact these bands? I'd appreciate any help & will provide you with copies of anything that is released. Thanks.

I went to see that Who tribute band "Who's Who" last night.They really are very good,excellent sound and a great show.I'm not particularly a Who fan, I only liked about 50% of the songs on the set, but they really get into it, especially the singer.The thing that just doesn't seem to impress me anymore(is it age?)is all the histrionics that go with it, which is of course something we don't get from the 'tones.For example during the first song the singer was swinging the mike, slowly getting it higher and higher until it hits the ceiling and makes a couple of holes in the polystyrene tiles.The crowd seem to love this but all I'm thinking is,"I wonder if they'll deduct that from his wages,they cost £5.99 each at Homebase!" The other thing is the way the songs end.With The Undertones,Ramones etc,when a song ends it ends,simple as that.However in most of these songs it just goes on and on making a bloody racket for about a minute or more after it should end.Just finish the bloody thing I say,stop milking it!! But if you do like the Who and this band are ever down your way, they're well worth seeing.Certainly got the adrenaline flowing with "substitute" and "my generation" and makes me look forward even more to July 22nd.

Had to go to a 70s themed BBQ at the weekend - the only piece of clothing I had was the Cliff/CR t-shirt remake of the original black/red arrows. Everyone else was dressed as hippies ?

Re:Nigel - unfortunatley people have *sniffer* apps that comb web pages loooking for e-mail addresses and the colect them. The only defence is to invalidate your address in an obvious way e.g. CMoS @theundertonesREMOVEME.net. Of ocurse one should never =- ever - never - ever reply to spam - even if they offer your name removal.

Not only did I miss any original screenings of Fleadh but it looks like I've just missed the repeat. Can anyone get a copy to me ? What was the Cure gig Wilke ?

I think if I's been around in the '60's I might have been a Who fan. I've only got a hits compilation but that's quite good. Can anyone recommend any particular albums ?
