Thanks for the offer Lindsay. I shall get a tape to you as soon as I can. Do I take it Cliff isn't a Prefab Sprout fan then ? A couple of their albums are okay but I can't ever imagine them live.

Cliff on ? GMT #34e-5296
"hot dog, jumping frog, alburquerque"...need I say more?

GD on ? GMT #11e-5297
Lindsay I see you are thinking of flying into Derry, well Vinny was right, BE WARNED. Not only is it a small plane its also a very small runway (about the size of a garden foot path). Well I suppose thats all part of the fun....hehehe enjoy the flight.

GD on ? GMT #11e-5298
Cliff how much are those T-Shirts and how do I order?

Cliff @ on ? GMT #b33-5299
Don't let it put you off Lindsay! the smaller the plane the less chance of it hitting something else in the sky(did that help?!).GD, the t-shirts are £10 which includes P+P,sweats are £15.Press my name above shown in white and by the wonders of modern technology my e-mail address will appear.E-mail me and I'll give you my address.

And GD forget to mention that when the small plane comes to land on the garden footpath called Derry Airport you have to flap your wings frantically and run backwards to help the plane slow down. Also the smaller the plane the less chance a bigger plane has off seeing it. Have a nice flight

The Fleadh footage was great. When it was on VH1 last year they included an interview with the band instead of Julie Ocean. One question though - who was that bizarre looking Asian guy down the front in the blazer singing along to my My Perfect Cousin. We should try and track him down and introduce him to this site. By the way Cliff I think Prefab Sprouts early stuff is OK. The album Steve McQueen is their best and I think singles like When Love Breaks Down and If You Don't Love Me are good. Far better than the boring Nittan Sawney or a drunk Shane McGowan anyway. Plus at least last years Fleadh saw one of Kirsty MacColls last performances and was infinitely better weatherwise than the torrential downpour and mud bath of this years festival. Were we lucky or does the sun always shines on Undertones fans ?

And Lindsay don't be perturbed by the fact that up until about 3 feet from landing all you can see below is water. You do just scrape over The Foyle river and onto the runway. Happy landings.

Lindsay on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #254-5303
Is this some sort of conspiracy to keep me out of Derry? Well it won't wash - I can always drive to Liverpool (Driver, is this bus going to Speke? What do you think I am, a bloody ventriloquist!), fly to Belfast, hire a car from the airport and drive up to Derry. Simple eh? The wall eagerly awaits a more petite Humdinger than it got last time!

Mark on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #eed-5304
Have just read that the Vapors are reforming....bloody hell, Feb 2002. They've got enough time to practice. I'd go and see them. Wonder's never cease....what next, perhaps The Undertones playing Leamington. Hmmmmm....... come on Billy tell us some more, Pleeeeease!

Donald on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #b90-5305
I'm not the best flier and Tony Blackburn (Paul) who flew with me to Dublin didnt help , so at least you wont have him there Lindsay. He spent most of the time during the safety announcement saying helpful things like 'whats the point, we'll go down like a dart'. If your really worried - dress like a nun, they always seem to survive disaster films. The planes aren't that small - think of it as a car with wings!

Lindsay on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #d02-5306
Nice idea Donald but I'm not in the habit of doing nun impersonations!

Julius on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #532-5307
I do think I will be able to make it to one of the summerconcerts. I have to cross a sea extra, that is the point. I'll just wait for THAT concert where everyone on this site will go to and we have our big SITE-MEETING(Thanks to Rick) For one of the first times I totally disagree with Rick, mostly his remarks make sense, but how do you dare to say that Prefab Sprout are better than a drunken Shane. Even Shane at his drunkest is better than this muzak or supermarketmusic Prefab Sprout used to "produce". I think Shane is a brilliant songwriter and a great wordsmith and Shane is amongst the best songwriters I think. No, in no way Steve MCQueen is a good album(just the title lacks any fantasy...)

George on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #9ba-5308
Thanks Cliff for my T-Shirts. Arrived today at work. If the bosses aren't in I might just wear them for a change. Any chance of someone keeping score on who intends to go to a particular concert. Like Julius I will probably go to the one that will have most site contributors in attendance. It makes more sense that just going to a gig cos it was the most convenient for me to fly to. The travelling at the end all ends to the sense of fun and adventure.

George on 05:53 19th-Dec-00 GMT #9ba-5309
All adds to the sense of fun and adventure.
