Wilke - Cliff mentioned Vinny was trying to organise a minibus from Derry. Failing that, we will have use of a hire car so a lift from Derry won't be a problem.

Of all the Offspring the one mentioned (my girlfriend ...) is the stand out one - its sounds so unPC (not that it matters) but its not - and a bit like OblaDeOblaDah. I used to hear "Walk Away" from Cast every Sunday in the albums chart - house hunting. Ahhhh

I listened to "AllChange"(1995)by Cast last night.Some good tunes in there, they definately sound better to me than most I've heard, a kind of mix between The Who and Stone Roses.Talking of them "Waterfall" is an old favourite I'd forgotten about.

Are most people going to Letterkenny rather than Derry? It's the other way round for me. Anyone going to Derry in August? Let's arrange a meeting. Cliff, I may be the oldie but I could still give you lot the runaround. My silky skills graced the Bull Park 20 years ago.

Arn't Cast from Liverpool? I've bought a couple of singles but not for a good while and I thought they were excellent, don't know about the albums.

My mate's were in a band on Probe Records and used to do gigs with the La's quite a bit. Still love the Nick Heyward album and I'm prepared tg do cassette copies for people if they want them.

I had friends in a band on Probe in the '80's too. They were called the Happy Gauls and were a surf/punk band.

In the AMG All Music Guide website,(a massive resource listing bands and artists with biographies and discographies)listed under 'albums' for The Undertones is "Six Girls, No Strings". If it's not a mistake who's the extra girl for?

Arthur - I thought it probably was St Vitus Dance. They were a v talented bunch, saw them quite a few times in belfast (the Crescent, the Art school, and other dodgy venues). Still listen to "Napoleon's Nose" the odd time...and even went to see the Bunnymen in London in their Noel Burke phase. NB had a great voice, was an excellent songwriter, and Haydn Boyle wrote a good tune.
