BUS UPDATE::The £100 coach company rang me tonight to say they'd double-booked and that the BINGO BUS was a priority!! Seriously!I'm tempted to name the company using the parliamentary privilege of the internet! Anyway, within minutes we had another coach booked. It's £130 for a 24 seater.Even at the 15 names we have now it still works out at £8.66 per head!!

I'll look out for the Ash single this w/e. I like Ash and the more publicity the Undertones can get out of it the better. Ash have obviously got good taste, but they have probably taken on a bit much trying to cover TK. You just cant top perfection, 2 mins 58 seconds (is that correct Dave R?) (as all good pop songs should be), of bliss that still sends a tingle down my neck when I hear it to this day.

Keep working on it Vinny, £8 odd isn't bad anyway.

I was at Selhurst Park as well. It was an emotional yet deeply disappointing note for the Undertones to finish on. I have these memories: as the 'Tones were about to come onstage, this confused hippy-type woman sitting on the grass behind angrily asked me, "Are you going to stand up for the whole gig?". I replied something to the effect of: "Fcuking right, you aint seen nothing yet, lady!!" I went to the gig on my own, but ended up meeting a crowd of local Undertones fans and going to the pub (at the corner of the away end) during the Gabriel performance. Which was nice.

I watched the Thompson twins while trying to convince myself that I'd never see The Undertones play live again,it really hadn't sunk in.Then for some strange reason(morbid curiousity?)I stayed on for Peter Gabriel. He was wearing a white suit and he started at the top of some steps at the back of the stage and came waltzing down the front to a huge ovation.I'd given him a full 30 seconds of my time and decided enough was enough and walked off to catch the train. What a terrible way for The Undertones to go.....but all is not lost, LETTERKENNY HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!

Nice to know my son has inherited my good taste in music - just played the Ash TK Cover and half way through Simon(9) casually announced that the Undertones version was much better (and he's quite right too!), although I have to add that the guitar work is excellent (it says 'featuring Damian O'Neill on guitar' on the credits!).

Forgot to mention, thanks Lee for the cds. Quality is excellent.

(Apologies before I start as I know you won't be remotely interested but I just can't help it...) It's true! I thought it was a cruel hoax and just rumours but I've read it on the teletext now so it must be true, there must be a God and he is smiling on me, not only have I witnessed the reformation of my favourite band of all time but now the second placing (clue:U.S. emergency no.) are reforming to do some gigs in November. Life is sweet (even if I have just lost my marbles!)

Dear God, I know I'm pushing my luck a bit but if you could just fix it for me to win the lottery tomorrow I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks.

911 it is??? Lindsay I am happy for you coz I read from your mail you feel very happy, it feels good to see you feel good. Just heard absolute great record by a fresh New York band called THE STROKES, anyone else heard it??? seems to be no. 31 in the UK Top 40 Also have great listening pleasure at loud volume with a new CD from a Dublin band called the National Prayer Breakfast, weird, rocky, energetic stuff who are crediting Luke on the sleeve!!! remember the name: National Prayer Breakfast

Careful how I phrase this - if I had somed VCDs would anybody need them

re THE STROKES: I agree with Julius, the best new band for years. Highly recommended, catch em before they're HUGE!

Lee on ? GMT #fb0-5563
Well my attempts at achieving the June work deadline have failed so my chances of being able to get to the August gigs becomes increasingly unlikely. I am now down to the small hope that we achieve our deadline on Friday 10th and I manage to get flights and tickets to the gig on Saturday. It's unlikely but I shall continue to dream. I can't believe there are 3 gigs and I just can't get to any of them. A sever depresiion is building in the Midlands !

Lee on ? GMT #fb0-5564
I seem to remember asking what a VCD was a while back and can't remember the answer - is it something like Video CD ? CMoS - do you mean blank VCD's which I wouldn't know what to do with, or VCD's full of Undertones stuff ?
