Any chance of an update on who is going to which gig? A few days to go to the due date of the birth of our new baby (don't know what sort yet) and we can't think of a name. Any ideas (preferably Undertones related)? Help.

Derek,so far the only definates travelling over are Lindsay,Alastair and myself to Letterkenny. Also Henry, but not sure where he's travelling from.George is doing his best to make one of the other gigs along with Mark from Leamington,Lee wanted to go but missed his targets(he's heartbroken from Brum) and CR would love to but might be in recording studios himself.(confused? you will be).Donald just cant get the time off but he'll be listening to "Hypnotised" at the exact time the band take the stage(bless 'im,it's the least he could do.)Everybody else is living in hope that they might play over here again this year, except for Rick who is definately not going ever again, well atleast not until they play in London anyway. That answer your question?

I'm going to The Derry show. I will be in the Bluebell Bar (nearby) prior to it. Anyone going? I lived in Derry for nearly 30 years so I know my way around.

Heres an interesting looking website:: <http://home.space.net.au/~georgem/> It's an Aussie punk/new wave site.Theres a great bit that says,"Dont be an IDIOT and send coins"....now thats the way to talk to your customers!

Cliff - that summarises my position up nicely re: new gigs. I'm not London-centric and would travel anywhere in the world to see the surviving Beatles play. I prefer to remember the Undertones now as they were but seeing them again 3 times last year was a dream come true and I loved it. More gigs is just law of diminishing returns for me. Still love those guys though. Hope everyone who is going to the gigs has a fantastic time watching the greatest band of all time.

Rick, I'm in the strange position of being from Derry but having only seen the London bit of The Undertones revival. This time I'm travelling to Derry to see them. It's all very bizarre. By the way, remember The Pistols kicked out Glen Matlock because he said he liked The Beatles.

T-shirts washed and ready, cd's to be sorted this evening, lobster printed so all ready to go. Sunny St. Ives here we come. Will be thinking of you all a week on Sunday - have a great gig and post news as soon as you can. I am sure they have the internet somewhere in Cornwall. Whether I shall be able to get onto it I don't know but I shall try. Don't post too much while I'm away - it will take forever to catch up on 2 weeks of postings. Have fun !

What is this Inta-net of which you speak?

Cliff on 05:56 8th-Jan-01 GMT #cb4-5609
The great "should I go to B&Q or Homebase" debate is finally over.(don't pretend you dont know what I'm talking about,we've all done it). While in Homebase this afternoon the young fresh faced assistant took a long hard look at my Undertones shirt."A bit before your time I imagine" said I,"Yes but I still like them,Teenage Kicks is one of my favourite songs" pretty impressive I thought and then he backed it up with,"John Peels all time favourite band".So there you are fellow humdingers,Homebase is now the official place to go for all your household and hardware items.
