Just got back from the biggest Party in the Park outside London and still recovering from seeing Ricky Martin in the flesh!! Actually it was quite funny - just imagine there's the big build up from the DJs, the 'what a coup it is to have Ricky live on stage in Leeds' etc etc, Ricky leaps on to the stage, shaking everything he's got and after one line the sound fails! BBMak were the best overall and (as I thought they would be) the only really live act. Kids enjoyed Hear'say, A1, Atomic Kitten etc and I can't stop singing that Blue 'All Rise' song (I'm sure there must be a rude version of that one doing the rounds!).

Spot on Donald, I'll be playing the 1st album full blast at the time of the concerts. Earphones on in case I wake the baby (if it's arrived by then). Any news on Vinny's video yet? That might take my mind off the mega disapointment of not being able to go to these gigs. In case events overtake me (the baby) all the best for those who are lucky enough to go. I don't suppose there is a phone in the place so I could 'listen in'?

Nice to see Rudi have got their own website. I got the singles CD last time I was in Belfast. It is well worth a tenner for nostalgia reasons if nothing else as I hadn't heard some of the songs in 20 years. To be honest though , if I don't hear a few of them for another 20 years it will be too soon (e.g., "Yummy, yummy, yummy").

Are you lot frightened of going to the North in the marching season?

Listened to Sin of Pride at the week-end. Only half the songs are any good. Worst is Chains of Love (very Karma Chameleon) and best is The Sin of Pride (plus extra track BitterSweet). Feargal seems to get overly warbly on most songs and there's all this awful Haircut 100 type brass plastered over everything. A real pigs ear of an album in my view and clearly they needed to split up at this point as they were all pulling in different directions and not sure which way to go. No doubt you'll all disagree. Cliff - Blink 182's Girl at the Rock Show and Ash's Burn Baby Burn are two of the best songs released this year I think.
