I'm off to Cork tomorrow-journey's end is The Undertones in Derry-then back via Stranraer. I'm taking the laptop so if anyone is going to Derry keep us posted. Might try to wangle Dublin in December. Has anyone seen the recent punk compilation called Teenage Kicks? Pistols/Clash etc are all on there but The Undertones have the title and opening track.

Congratulations Derek. After early morning call from Cliff I have been convinced/persuaded to attend the Dublin concert at Christmas. I will need to find a suitable flight. Had a helicopter flight over my old school and my dad's house today. £20 for 5 minutes. Certainly makes the flight to Belfast seem reasonable.

Derek, congratulations on your baby girl! Hope everything is okay! How you are going to call her? Dublin sounds very exciting to me, but it is difficult to plan these kind of trips right now as Jurre is still not doing well, his condition is bouncing up and down; my wife is at the verge of a nervous breakdown. I try to remain optimistic as his general condition really has improved the last week , still he is getting regular breathing failures (apnea as doctors call them) and that is worrying. Anyway it is not the time to plan to do my x-mas shopping in Dublin

Have booked holidays at work for the December concerts. Why are we arriving on the 19th in Dublin? Is the plan to travel to the Cork concert on the 19th and return to Dublin on the 20th, or is it a planned meeting/drinking session in Dublin on the 19th. Looking at the prices and the choice of departure times available from Edinburgh I may travel from there.
