I just got an email from Dean Friedman (Sorry Lindsay) asking everyone in his mailing list (There are 3000 apparently) if they would be willing to contribute towards the making of his next album. This looks pretty bad for me on this site - Prefab Sprout, Dean Friedman - that just about exhausts the "softer" side of my collection I think - okay apart from Abba and ELO but I was young for heavens sake and my parents never let me listen to any decent music and that was all that was played on Radio 1 and how many more feeble excuses can I make except that pretty soon I learnt and along came The 'Tones, Clash, Moondogs, Stranglers etc etc etc please please forgive me and don't bring it up if we ever meet - ouch - someone just hit me as I was getting a bit delirious there - that's better. On the strength of the two Undertones gigs I've seen, they completely fulfil this criteria. If there is new material a great place to showcase it might be to do one of those live John Peel Sessions....
