What can anyone say about last night's gig?I am not a good person with reviews and son as I get so into the gig that I can't stand back and analyse but it felt to me that it was the best since they got back together.Paul, who hasn't had a bad night in my opinion, was just amazing and seemed to get better and better as the night went on.The crowd, a guestimate of say 6,000?, danced all night and it was a real hero's welcome to them.I also got the feeling that the band didn't wanna come off the stage as they were enjoying it so much!!As a special one-off treat to the .net contributors I am willing to send Cliff a copy of what I filmed and maybe he can talk to the rest of you about copies then. I only filmed about 6 songs for the Gasyard people and it is unedited camera rushes but it'll give you all some idea of the night that was in it.Everyone has to see this gig!!Cliff, let me know by email asap as I am off to Amsterdam on Sat for 5 days.

Thanks Vinny for offering to send a tape to Cliff. I hadn't realised that they were expecting a crowd of about 6000 for the concert. I take it the rain finally cleared as well, as I can remember the constant weather reports we got prior to the concert, while I had to make do with watching the athletics on TV.

Saw "You Little Thief" on TOTP2 - didn't realise what a great song it is - FS is masterful on it. "there were no bad feelings - there were no feelings at all" - who wrote this ?

You little thief and A Good heart were written by the two people in a failed relationship about each other. How they both got Feargal to sing about the other must be an interesting story. Which one came out first? I can't remember. I think the female writer was McVee or McKie. No doubt Dave will correct me if I'm wrong.

Glad to hear the Undertones got off to a winning start on the first weekend of the footie season - (as did Milton Keynes Utd). The vibes so far are tempting me to check out the Bryan Adams Gig..... As for Cork Gig - I am happy to drive a minibus there, but driving back the same night is less enticing, ref: I like to have a beer, and we wouldn't get back to Dub until well late. Also I need to be fresh for the Dublin gig as at my age this moshpit thing takes it out of me. I will provisionally book a 12 seater Minibus @ £150 Irish + fuel, can you e-mail me if you want a seat.(Click on my name in white above).

I'm gonna write a report on the gig but it'll probably be to-morrow before I put it up. The crowd was really big. I just wish they were playing again tonight.
