Should know next week if it's 1 day in December or both. Then I have to persuade the wife ! Trying to put a budget together - what's the going rate for the gigs, accomodation and travelling to the first gig ? I guess I could trawl through the last 20 pages but yes - I'm lazy and I know some of you nice kind people will be only too willing to help. Thanks for the tip with the cd by the way. Got home tonight and got in first.

Lee, accomodation is approx £12 per night(excellent breakfast included), travelling to Cork will probably be a shared car/van hire cost(£20-25 each?)tickets for gigs around £10-12.The Olympia in Dublin is a 10 minute walk from the Hostel.Pubs are everywhere you turn.Do your best mate.

Is it safe to come back yet?? Got the official go ahead from work for time off yesterday, so Dublin will be happening, now to book flights. Newcastle airport are holding one day strikes at the moment, so I hope this is over by December. I travelled to Cardiff by plane at Easter, it was terrible, I have to be the worlds most nervous passenger so I hope nobody is on the same flight as me- I seem to remember screaming when we landed! Cardiff was quite a lively place- good night life/pubs etc. Any Welsh Tones fans out there??

George on ? GMT #9ba-6565
I had a few 'Kissing the Pink' singles. I can't remember having an LP though. I hope the strike at Newcastle Airport is over by Christmas Jackie because my company gives employment law advice to the airport. Might be able to organise a proper game of 5 a side football this time in Dublin as well.

LIKE A morgue, a death in the family - inconsolable emotion and nothing to comfort the wounded. The picture of the Derry dressing room at ten past five on Sunday afternoon. They had just trooped off Croke Park with heads bowed, defeated and in disbelief. They hadn't failed to reach an All-Ireland Final, they'd given their place away. Quite simply, Derry had this game won. Entering the last quarter, Galway were buried, five points behind and kicking wide after wide in the frustration of it all. Nothing was going their way. But then came the reprieve. Derry seemed to relax and lose their way. In 15 minutes Derry fans watched a five points cushion turn to a four points deficit - it was unbelievable.
