george, i'll see what i can do. maybe the fish counter may be more relevant? anyway the telephone call that you had donald reminded me of the call i made a couple of years back to a return a call message at work. the mr angry line was really frustrating because you could not get a word in and the dogs kept barking, then the door bell rang etc, etc. it was only when i spied everyone smirking in the background that i twigged. it's not as if i don't get real mr angry calls working for a council, so i'm not too worried that i fell for it. back to the tones. has any one got tickets for cork / dublin yet?

yes derek i've got tickets for dublin! (i keep thinking about this in hours of darkness!) last time i saw the tones was at the lyceum in 83 so if you see a hysterical girlie screaming, crying and laughing at the same time that'll be me.

does anyone remember when feargal and michael were on round table on radio one in 1980? it used to review new singles/lps .i really liked that show and i recall mickey and feargal were really funny on it. i did have it on tape for awhile (sadly lost long ago) i recall various people got slagged off terribly -thin lizzy, michael jackson's perm !!, judas priest, yep they hated just about everything which came on. and michael had a cold-sniffed all the way through it. it was just after my perfect cousin was released. in the days when the tones were everywhere.

i remember the round table evening. with mike read if i remember correctly. can't recall any other reviews though.

has anyone notice that the adds on tv are useing a lot more new wave songs like joy divison the jam the members i wonder if this is the start of a revival in [punk&new wave music]has any one got the name of the place in cork were the tones are playing can you let me know thanks

my ten year old son anthony died on 07/04/01 from leiukemia.the undertones are doing a special concert in his memory on fri 19/10/01 at the nerve centre in derry .proceeds to the n.i childrens cancer unit fund.tickets are £10 and are available only from soundsaround in waterloo street.this is the last gig they are performing in derry this year.

the young lad who interviewed me in belfast for the fiele radio station was on the bbc tv today auditioning for a programme called diy tv about youngsters being chosen to make their own programme, similar to popstars and soapstars. he made the last 24 people but unfortunately not the final 12. i expect to see him on tv again in the future.

george that sounds good- a bit like something else, which was a great show- the one from derry was class, i recall they did interviews with people on the streets of derry. they asked several women'could your husband iron a shirt?' most of them walked away laughing-bizarre! so come on fellas can any of you iron a shirt?
