last saturday when they went over for a match update on the radio, the commentater said "it's a case of 'teenage kicks' here"....(meaning some of the young players had been booked for bad tackles).

would "40 something" be more acurate hugh? (but not 50 surely!)

i was in great danger of typing something that i would eventually regret so let's just settle for i hate and detest with a vengeance ironing. i have been known to cope with a shirt but trousers ! not for me. vacuuming, changing nappies and most othet things i can cope with but ironing is well below dusting which i can't stand either. it gets no better even with a cd blasting out.

lindsay - jury's has a number of different hotel chains. i think jury's lodge is the cheaper more basic version with rooms being let on a room basis so you could in theory have any number of people staying there whilst jury's inn is a more standard hotel. i'm not 100% on this but the general gist is right.

has anyone got a spare playstation steering wheel or can recommend which ones to buy. i seem to be getting involved in too many bidding wars on e-bay at the moment. i don't know if the ones i am attempting to buy are any good.

yippee. i have a meeting in london on the 19th november - which means i can come down on the 18th and stay over - which means (if my memory serves me right) i can see vinny's film at the london film festival. on a less cultural note - i see johnny rotten's (as was) shirt is being auctioned at sotheby's and is expected to fetch 2000 quid. and finally, a question: the talk talk albums on cd are currently a fiver each at fopp - i have one talk talk album - is it worth getting the rest? any advice gratefully received.

p2. we'll see you there then.meeting place to be confirmed but probably nearest pub (that sells cider). now i'm really confused inn or lodge / cork or orc? which is it?

donald on ? GMT #e46-9728
i'bve booked the jurys inn, didnt know there was a lodge.in orc.p2 - no!

Rick on ? GMT #d8f-9730
vinny - it was me that posted the comment about the mention your documentary gets in this months uncut magazine. its just a line in the preview column of the cinema section talking about the lff. i remember the round table where they reviewed tracks from positive touch. kim wilde was on the panel and she only wanted to comment on the lollies. i love ironing by the way - very therapeutic smoothing out all those wrinkles in your life.

Lindsay on ? GMT #ca7-9733
better get the iron on my face then. talk talk's 'such a shame' is one of my favourite singles and not just because it has a scorpion on the front cover. never got as far as the albums - are they really that bad. i've also booked the jurys inn - the one in cork not the one on planet ork, although after a few drinks who cares where it is. who is going to the premiere and what day?

Jackie on ? GMT #455-9734
i wanted to go but fridays showing is too early and sundays is too late- not being able to suit myself when i bunk off work like you lot!! if the sunday showing was in central london and not brixton i could probably get a late train home on sunday night, but will it take hours to get from brixton to kings cross??..moan moan. i'm working on it
