virgin have just played a 'strokes' track and a 'white stripes' track and one sounded like being trapped in a drum machine and the other like the kinks - i got the artists the wrong way round - obviosuly i don't understand what joy division being happy sounds like.

hi just got back from the undertones film well what can i say but great and even that does not do it justice well you lot over in england get set to see the best documentary about the band i can tell you that i found out something about the band that i never knew vinny what i say but its a masterpiece i just wish i could find the words to say how good it is the lads sporke from the heart about the start of the band and the end of in a every thing in between i`m still on a buzz can`t wait for the next gig noting more to say but brilliant and hope that when you see it you will know what i am talking about ps i just wish that could write a better review so talk to lot soon

hi everyone - just on while attending to the baby. for 3 months - shes certainly got a punk attitude, resolutely refusing to conform to stereotypical patterns of socially acceptable behaviour (ie going to sleep). i swear at one stage she was spitting her dummy at me. anyway if vinny was in his suit - surely a picture for the web site would be in order. i was going to mention the piece on the local news on the film but it amounted to a few clips and a slightly patronising voiceover. the film did look great. hope it went well tonight vinny. by the way was it a new suit or the standard weddings, funerals and interviews one. one plus point of the radio 4 programme was the presenter, who spoke in perfect received english and gave the whole thing a roy mallard investigates flavour. fair play to him though - at least he understood the cultural significance of the band - maybe he'd be worth inviting to your premiere in london vinny.

lucky sod wilke! my day was bad enough by missing the film but then wimbledon had to go and get a bloody last minute winner.q lindsay and henry....

thanks wilke, it was a great night.the band seemed to love the film, i didn't wear the suit in the end!just the trousers and shirt, true punk spirit? i was delighted the way things went tonite,especially afterwards at badgers where everyone just let their hair down to the clash, buzzcocks and every other record i can recall!!i just got in there at 1.40am, and i am still buzzing, it really was great to see the tones on a cinemma screen!!no more than they deserve i can tell you.thanks to all involved,, you know who i mean!!!!

i notice i can get bbc2 ni on sky digital. what channel is the film on vinny ?

teenage kicks (the song) video was on vh1 last night, how appropriate, i missed all but the last 3 bars. well done vinny, knew it would be a hit. wish i'd been there.

vinny i`m sorry that i missed the crack after the film but had to get up early to go to a kickboxing comp can`t wait to see the film at the festival the wife wants to go as well just to see why i was on such a buzz last night talk to you soon

wilke, it was great fun at badgers.you would have loved the music played. at one stage the undertones threatened to do an accappella(spelt wrong?) version of teenage kicks.i'm really lookinf forward now to cork as i don't have to organise it, just turn up!!foyle film festival screening in november also should be great, in the strand also.and not forgetting the gig on the 19 oct, without my camera?talk soon, really enjoyed last night and overwhelmed by the response to the film.apparently, bbc radio ulster are doing a piece tomorrow night on it, around 6- 7pm?

glad last night was a great success vinny.a documentary from the heart should hopefully get the band the credit they so richly deserve. maybe the band might even realise they are really quite good (but i am sure it wont go to their heads).an oscar for vinny the 6th undertone. you tell how good the film has been because wilke is still buzzing!
