I asked CMoS about it when we reached 9,000 and he said I could have it for the right price. Cliff on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #649-10006 Remember the awful Video to 'listen to your Father?' I never thought Feargal looked comfortable with his jacket sleeves rolled up.'You little thief' is good though and 'Loving you'. Cliff on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #649-10007 ....and 'Ghost train'. Manus Martin @ on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #a70-10008 I am organising the Undertones concert on 19/10/01 in memory of my ten year old son who died from cancer in April of this year. The proceeds are going to the N.Ireland children's cancer unit fund.I have printed only 100 publicity posters and they will be a bit of a collectors item.If anyone offers a genuine donation to the cancer fund I will forward one of these posters. CMoS on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #a5b-10009 Oh dear 10,000 went to some one who posted the same message twice so it is cosigned to the great guestbook in the sky. Lee on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #fb0-10010 Anyone see Never Mind the Buzzcocks last night - last round where they have to say the next line of a song - up comes Jimmy, Jimmy. I was so surprised I missed who answered the question - might have been Steve Lamacq or Sean Hughes I think. They didn't put a Feargal warble on it but they got it right so that's all that matters. Lee on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #fb0-10011 It's probably been asked before but I can't remember - what cover versions does anyone know about of Undertones tracks and are any of them worth a listen ? George on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #9ba-10012 I have teenage kicks covered on vinyl by Carol Vorderman and Liz Kershaw (AKA Dawn Chorus and the Blue Tits) and also another version on tape but I can't remember who it is. If anyone feels as though they are missing out on hearing them let me know. ©® on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #918-10013 Anyone heard a band called 'Jet Plane Landing'? NME reckons they could '...emerge as the best punk pop band from Derry since The Undertones'. Praise indeed. But it does seem a bit disrespectful to me, I mean can they REALLY be THAT good?? VINNY on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #67c-10014 Look out for the best of all cover versions in the movie TEENAGE KICKS. An Orchestra playing TEENAGE KICKS, I am not kidding, it's excellent. Arthur on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #d12-10015 I've got a compilation album called Teenage Hits - A Tribute to the Undertones. It's basically a couple of guys in a home studio with each track being given a made up band name. It's so so - but The Love Parade actually sounds good without a massive production on it. I'm also pretty sure that I seen a plea for French bands to come forward for a French tribute album. Has anyone else noticed this? Rick on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #c16-10016 Vinny - I've got the CD that track comes from. Its called 'Classical Punk' and has classical reworkings of many punk classics. What is amazing is how melodic many of these songs are when you remember the movement was often dismissed as just noise. 'Teenage Kicks' along with 'Germ Free Adolescence', 'Ever Fallen In Love' and surprisingly 'Stranglehold' by UK Subs all sound very haunting and emotional when rearranged for woodwind and strings. Cliff on 06:00 29th-Oct-01 GMT #bd3-10019 just enjoying my 'Sweet' greatest hits CD, completely forgot I had it.I brought it at Good Vibrations on my visit to Belfast.Funny how I like the Sweet and Gary Glitter yet when I actually analyse it I probably like about 4 Sweet songs and 6 GG.Hardly compares to the Undertrones 40+ does it?
