Printable version, apparently

Last I heard Billy Idol had just about killed himself in a bike accident but that was years ago. Someone must know what he's been up to. Wasn't Don't You Forget About Me written by his usual songwriter for him and he turned it down for the Breakfast Club film or something - and in step Simple Minds for a worldwide smash !

Her I am thinking I was a big TPE fan and then I check the TPE site referenced a few days ago to find someone's listed loads of video's I never knew existed and then I get here and find Jackie also mentioning another video I seem to have missed out on or lost in the memory banks. What's going on ? Anyone got copies of anything other than Seen and Unseen ?

Lee on 13:03 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #fb0-10656
Now spotted Jackie in the 3 guestbooks (Here, Moondogs and TPE) that I visit regularly. What a sad old world - the world wide web with millions of worthwhile sites and for the last 3 or maybe 6 months 99.9 % of my non work related web browsing consists of 3 sites. So where else should I be looking Jackie ?

The John Peel article in the Guardian is really quite moving in it's own succinct way. He's still a fan which is impressive given his involvement with music and countless bands down through the years.

On my morning jog around Central Park this morning I saw the New York Mayor Mr Guiliano being interviewed about the New York Marathon and then painting lines on the road near to the finish line. Amazing who you meet while out jogging at 07:40.

Cliff on 14:20 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #43b-10659
no George, whats amazing is that you're out jogging at 7:40!!

I have a 30-minute video of TPE playing live from a TV programme hosted by Mike Mansfield (he of the flowing white locks) called Cue the Music

Steve on 20:57 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #b81-10665
Hugh, I would love a copy of that video, if it is not just an edited down version of the live seen and unseen video from the town and country club and I know Ray from the petrols would too, Lee, I have a copy of TPE from the Tube, doing blistering versions of Swamp and Big Desicion, They were also on the Word doing a rather strange version of Tingle and on the Late show doing Sensitize, Which I know the band were non to keen on their performance. CMoS, yes it is Kerosene Hat, I Edited it for lee so he did'nt have to put up with the 99 tracks, which could be a tad annoying as two tracks are placed at about 66 and 67, Cracker are still a going concern it's just that the CD's do not get released here. I have another Cd that has about 70 tracks on it by The Wondermints, It basically repeats the last Bar of the last song over and over, Just like the Locked Groove of good old Vinyl.

Steve on 21:05 2nd-Nov-01 GMT [www.crackersoul.com] #b81-10666
CMoS, heres a link to Crackers web site plus info on Camper van Beethoven

Ref. to Lee's posting 10656 I've put some of our names into some of the searchmachines on the Internet: getton' back our names on Undertones, Moondogs, department S and TV21 pages!! My name is not so common and it is strange to find out that back in a former life in 1914 I was a priest in Minnesota, Lee turns out to be the guitarplayer of Manhattan Five and Luke from Dublin is huge Damned-fan too!!!

Julius on 22:18 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #e67-10668
Gettin' wild on TPE. Chemicrazy is an excellent LP, Today found the 4-track Peel sessions CD by That Petrol Emotion in a second hand shop for 9 guilders (2 pounds 50):'Blind Spot' is stand-out track for me!

Julius on 22:22 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #e67-10669
Great article by John Peel, nice comment made on Paul,VTU

Lindsay on 22:37 2nd-Nov-01 GMT #143-10670
It seems inconceivable John Peel made his first visit to Derry only so recently. Great article and the way he described doing the rounds of all the significant Undertones landmarks sounded very familiar!! What's it like being famous Vinny?

George on 00:58 3rd-Nov-01 GMT #835-10671
Managed to buy a copy of Teenage Hits. Cover versions of the Undertones by no one I've ever heard off. Will not get a chance to play it until I am back home. Went to do my spread the word photos only to find that on the on top of the Empire State Building my camcorder battery ran out and also the film in my camera. Well now to see if I have any better luck reading the article from the Guardian than I had this morning. My watch says it is 19:58 but my body is telling me it is 1am!
