Sorry, just realised there were responses to my post about the TPE tape. I can easily make copies (I work in the Media section of a college). I'll be in touch when I get a little time. By the way I have no idea where or when it was recorded-the beginning is missing.

Arthur on 10:57 7th-Nov-01 GMT #d12-10749
Sorry Marty - I too have to disagree with you. I thought the songs were muy bueno and one was total class on first listen. It's also hard to be too critical when you've only heard something once. I also disagree with you about Feargal who was a great frontman and singer. He was also a great self publicist which is why many people who think of the Undertones think of him. I actually always thought the band and the songs were the strongest part of the whole Undertones set up - they certainly weren't just Feargal's backing band. I also think that with Paul now there's a better feel now and that they are more of a band. To my mind they're better now than they were on the Sin of Pride tour.

Is it on today ??

Vinny on 15:30 7th-Nov-01 GMT #42c-10753
Cliff, if it's the incredible doc about the band you're talking about, yes IT is on tonight at 10.35pm!! The Irish News have listed it as PICK OF THE DAY

Derek on 20:45 7th-Nov-01 GMT #a28-10758
I hope The tapes are rolling too. I've asked someone over the water to tape it for me, but he's not the most reliable person. Fingers crossed. P.C. finally fixed and I can see what you're writing (in case you're wondering where I was). Haven't got a festival here in the sticks, but would like to start one, and what a better way to start than........ I'm dreaming again. Have we decided where we are meeting on the Sunday?

Just wondering if anyone could provide a cd-r of Feargal's Wish album??? my son broke the vinyl I had, and although it ain't a masterpiece I'd like to get it back.... If anyone can help me out please send me an e-mail, and I'll offer you a trade.

Manus Martin @ on 22:01 7th-Nov-01 GMT #140-10761
I am sure Arthur and Wilke will be under pressure with people looking for a video of the film.I have taped it so if anyone cant get one I will post it on.Unfortunately I dont have any means of making extra copies.

George on 22:40 7th-Nov-01 GMT #182-10762
If only I could be in NI watching the TV now. It's alright for some.

Vinny on 23:54 7th-Nov-01 GMT #d12-10765
Thanks Wilke. It was really strange watching it tonight at home, especially as it was the shorter version. I thought it looked really well. I keep looking at it and thinking this comes next and then remembering this is the shorter one.Anyway, that's that over and done with for now, back to the long version again!!!!!!!!!

Manus Martin @ on 00:09 8th-Nov-01 GMT #0f6-10766
Vinny well done. The documentary is something to be proud of.To add my tuppence worth to the lead singer debate.I think the songs stand up for themselves and even Arthur,Cliff ,or god forbid Wilke could make them sound good.Fergal was a great singer and frontman but he never had any creative input to the band and I know that some of the band resented that.I was talking to a guy recently in the music game who said musicians are ten a penny but songwriters are the ones who really succeed.I think that maybe sums it up.

CMoS on 00:19 8th-Nov-01 GMT #2ca-10767
Found out at 22:05 you can no longer get BBC1 NI on Sky - but you can get BBC2 and ITV regional anf loads of red dots bizarre. Was thinking about you Vinny. Almost went to but a meatball sandwich from Cliff.

Seán on 00:23 8th-Nov-01 GMT #d12-10768
Brilliant doc Vinny.I really enjoyed it and as I'm a diehard Derry City fan I loved the bit in Squires when Billy joined in on the drums for the 'city' bit.Is there any chance of ever seeing the full version? http://derrycityfc.com

Seán on 00:29 8th-Nov-01 GMT #d12-10769
I forgot to mention about the lead singer debate. Sharkey was great when he was in the band but as Manus said the songs do stand up for themselves. And on the subject of Sharkey.I loved his two quotes.1st one 'I was earning £7,000 a yr' and later he says 'I had to go to my day job were I was earning £7 a week' I see his maths aint very good LOL.
