Wilke - I sent my address last week but as I've posted a number of times I'm having pc problems at home. I have tried sending you emails from work but I always get non deliverable messages. I will try to send it again but won't be at home now for a while. Vinny, you are a star. What a film. I think I missed most of it with the tears welling in my eyes. I hope it is released to the regions, as I would definately like to see it again (and again). Can't make Spain unfortunately (or NFT1). I hope a video with the extra footage is released.

I was casually walking up the Brixton High St (after Phoning Cliff to see where everyone was)when Lindsay shouts Hello. I then went to pub and met up with George Cliff and Henry. Nothing unusual in this you might say, but I find it amazing that friendships can develop over the web even if we do have a thing in common. It was then that Anthony came and introduced himself and could not believe we were all into the Tones (he thought he was the only one). I hope he is able to join us on the site as it is this site that has kept me informed about the news about gigs and films etc, put me in touch with new friends and rekindled the emotional buzz that I had when I listned to the Tones.

Cliff, I have still a number of stories of Undertones tours left for the Irish dates. Nobody else is interested, they've heard it all before. Perhaps you're all not interested and are just being polite, but I'm going to bore you with them anyway. I must finish the Aylesbury to London tale off one of these days of maybe Bob (who comes on the site every now and then)can. Just booked my tickets for Cork.

Well, one of the empty seats at sundays screening was mine unfortunately, I am totally pissed off that I missed it. No one wanted my free ticket - what a waste. And now I read that they won't be playing any more GB gigs. Worse and worse. Off now to drown my sorrows.

Certainly not being polite Derek, great stories and I look forward to more in Dublin.

Have to comment on the talk in the film (not the TV version)about no dates outside Ireland. Ricks ill so I thought I would stir up some debate. Seeing the TV version of the film it does make you focus on the band Then and Now. Watching 'Get Over You',I had a lump in my throat and was glad I wasn't sitting in a cinema pretending to have a cold. I understand the band dont want to ruin that reputation they had in the past, no future John Peel sessions etc but it doesnt make sense to me....

Wilke, most of us arrive around midday-1pm on Wed 19th.Henry originally booked the mini bus from 1pm(until 1pm the following day)but is trying to change it to 3pm-3pm.We have differing views on the journey time from Dublin-Cork.Some say 4 hours some say 6 hours, but which ever it is it means getting up quite early the next day and that dosent appeal much!!

..Do they think that if they only play in Ireland (Nerve Centre is the luckiest place on earth)they somehow haven't really reformed without Feargal and it doesnt really count because its just in Ireland and not a real tour. I would have thought with all the trouble they had as a young band starting out, playing in Ireland would be harder than anything. People from elsewhere are just travelling there to see them + hear the new songs(and loving every minute of the pilgrimage/adventure/party.I suppose as Mickey Bradley(BTU)says, its not worth overanalysing and its just a band (and footballs just a game).Are there really no plans to do dates elsewhere, and should they?

I dont know about Derek but George has some good stories to tell about those days on the road-kept me laughing for hours on the train on Sunday 'Liggers' takes on a whole new meaning!

Vinny, I was only kidding about going to Spain.I mean what do you think I am, nuts? The reason I mentioned Johnny Quiggly is that a guy from Derry came in my shop and said he saw him playing in Southend at the 'Cliffs Pavilion'.

On the subject of middle aged men singing about 'Teenage Kicks' and 'Chocolate and girls'.When Cliff Richard does a live show these days does he still sing 'The young ones' and would he still sing 'Batchelor Boy' if he got married? I'm sure he does and would as its the song that matters, the lyrics and subject matter aren't important.

As cliff has already mentioned Wilke we are staying in the Globetrotters Hotel and you have a bed booked in our dorm already. Rotterdam film festival sounds interesting. Never been to Holland before. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem do not appeal.
