Lindsay, your advice about me and Cliff travelling direct from galway to Cork makes good sense, I shall contact the hire company on monday to see if booking arrqangements can be changed. I had planned to catch up on sleep at the back of the Galway - Dublin coach, but now it looks like I shall be singing along to Cliff's Undertones tapes for 4 hours.

I see your team has effectively been given a bye into the 4th round of the FA Cup Cliff.

Jackie, If I remember rightly they sell alchoholic beverages in the place (but NO CIDER). What type of bar is that! Anyway, after 2 xmas parties at the weekend I think I'm in the mood to stay off the Booze for the whole of run up to xmas. Well maybe for the next few days at least. Starting to get exited about the gigs now. Can't wait. Sorry you can't make it Julius, Maybe next time?

Lindsay, You might be ahead in the talking stakesfor most of us, but You have got a long way to catch up to Cliff.

Thought Ash last night were excellent although I was about double the age of most of the audience - still minimum queues at the bar. Ramones and The Breeders played though the PA before they came on got me in the mood and my legs are stil sore today. The audience really went for it and when we got Teenage Kicks as an encore I was very happy. Great to see that song played to an entirely new audience 23 years after its release.Ash are not the greatest band ever but they have good taste and really rocked.

I've just bought my ticket for Hackney, from ticketmaster.co.uk, it cost £22.00 collect on the door. I tried Ticketweb first, but they wanted 26.50 - apparently stamps are now £4.50. I have also purchased a fine wind-up swimming lobster, intended as a present for my Neice (aged 1yr), but it may have to travel to Ireland to feature in Rockin Humdinger pages.

You lucky sod Donald! They never sang it at Leeds and I was really peed off. Obviously Tim must have looked out at the crowd, seen me and all the other fresh faces and decided the audience were far too young to remember it ;-)) As for the Ramones, as we walked towards the Hall I said 'that sounds like the Ramones playing' and then thought No, I must be hearing things, that's just TOO much of a coincidence. Now you've confirmed it, I have to believe it. Very spooky! The ghost of Joey perhaps.

donald on 22:10 9th-Dec-01 GMT #272-11383
the KKK took my baby away no less. Maybe it was my frequent shouting for Teenage Kicks that did it, probably not but Id like to think so. At least 3/4 of the packed hall pogoed throughout. Even had water thrown at the front by the bouncers. Rock n roll.

Cliff on 23:01 9th-Dec-01 GMT #baf-11384
Yes George, not a good draw for us...it's a bloody long journey, I've been there before and we'll lose 3-0.
