happy new year to all of you, it was a great year for the Unbdertones (and Moondogs!); Hope 2002 will be even more better, just recovering from last night, as usual in my village we all end in the pub on the night of january 1st. The beer was flowing in fast quantities but my now heads bangs in the same rhythm, had no babysitter as well on new years' eve so a quiet yearchange. This could be the title of a punk song for us ageing pogo'ers:'NO babysitter!!' John, let you fantasy play Lee on 12:47 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #fb0-11723 Just spoke to Ocean - looks like Hackney is scheduled for sometime in March but no firm date yet. Billy Doherty (Drummer The Undertones) on 16:13 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #7f7-11724 Hello folks, Just a short message to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Many, many thanks for all your support throughout the year; it's very much appreciated. I hope that everyone who travelled to the Irish shows had a good time and got home safely? The War Child shows scheduled in London on January 15/16th has been cancelled. I believe that they are trying to re-schedule this for 17th March 2002. As soon as we have confirmed any new dates I will post them on the site. Billy Doherty (Drummer The Undertones) donald on 16:18 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #e46-11725 Hope you all had a good one.Being civilised up here, today is still a public holiday- essential for a two day hangover.Heres to more dates and that new EP. Lindsay on 19:10 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #94e-11726 17 March is a Sunday - someone else mentioned St. Patrick's Day before didn't they. Sunday would be fine for me - just need to swap days at work and sweet-talk Alastair into dropping the kids into school. Might even persuade my brother to come along if he's not working - first time since 79. Lindsay on 19:20 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #94e-11727 After all the drink that was flowing in Dublin Derek, I can't remember enough to write a review! Getting pics back tomorrow which might help jog a few memories (though maybe some we don't want to be reminded of!). Glad you enjoyed the tape - I thought I saw Hugh at the front during the encore and someone who looks like Arthur but may have been his brother???? That's if they were there at all of course! (we're talking Mean Fiddler here chaps). Cliff on 20:21 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #db5-11728 Yep 17th March sounds good, I like Billy's tone 'As soon as we have confirmed...' rather than 'if we do' (I must stop over analysing everything!) Derek on 20:24 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #4a6-11729 17th March will give my rib time to heal so I'm grateful for that. At least I should be able to get into the action down the front. It wouldn't seem the same just standing there tapping your feet. Lindsay on 20:26 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #a91-11730 Going back to what Jackie said a few messages ago and something I can remember from both gigs in Ireland is that True Confessions has to be one of the best tracks to jump along to in a live situation. Not too fast for us oldies either. Fantastic stuff. Unlike Cliff, I managed to stay the full course until Get Over You as the last encore in Dublin finally had me beat. You know that feeling when you can't even breathe and you know it's either stop or die. Derek on 20:27 2nd-Jan-02 GMT #4a6-11731 Cliff, I forgot to get my T-Shirt off you in Dublin. Have you got any left?
