For all Moondogs fans on this site I thought I'd relay some news Gerry McCandless posted to my enquiry about 2002 Moondogs activities on the Moondogs site. He said 'We now have 13 new songs and a recording of a rehersal that we did for the sawdoctors gig which sounds good.We hope to release these in the next few months ourselves. The Peel sessions Cd release is also on going but takes time. We hope to play to promote these releases, and we have been asked to play with the Sawdoctors again. We look foward to great 2002 and hope we get to meet some of you great guys.' Well that sounds positive so what with this and a possible new Undertones album, 2002 seems to be shaping up to be a good year.

Rick - all this good news is making you far too mellow these days!Whats happened to our devils advocate.

Rick on 16:32 11th-Jan-02 GMT #c16-11928
Donald - I was exorcised over Christmas and just like Linda Blair the devil has now left me and possessed Father Cliff instead. I hope Cliff doesn't jump out of a window though.

Lindsay on 17:54 11th-Jan-02 GMT #9d5-11931
RIP Cliff. We will miss you (however chance here for a first placing in the postings board!). If there is a god let's hope he can perform a divine miracle and Cliff will rise again (so to speak!), still supporting the Undertones of course but hopefully a better football team.

Lindsay on 17:57 11th-Jan-02 GMT #9d5-11932
Dare we hope the news means there may be a London gig in the offing Rick?

The T shirt is on it's way to Jackie. I got a tape of the 2FM witness broadcast this morning. Been playing it in the car all day. Not bad! Any one know how to get it onto a cd? The tape changes half way through Lets talk about girls, but I sure that some of you whizz kids can sort all that out.

If Gerry McCandless is reading this, or anyone who can alert him - please get in touch with Ernie (from Omagh) who wrote that first big articles in Positive Reactions years ago 'Moondogs - The Band for 1980' after their first gigs in Omagh!! I`d love to make contact again, Gerry!

Jackie on 19:46 11th-Jan-02 GMT #455-11941
Brilliant pics Lindsay- I think I was too far away at Dublin (even though I was in the front row!) so mine arent so clear. Welcome back Wilke, it was great to meet a real life Derryman (!) in Dublin. Has anyone got a copy of the O Briens group photo, or then again it was 3am so best to keep it hidden.

A bit of Anorak news: A collegue of mine sent me to this recordshop in Arnhem (where I work), as they were supposed to have Jam-bootlegs. This turned out to be the regular 'Dig the new Breed' LP which I already had, but the guy told me he had some other stuff as well in his kitchen, back he came with a pile of LP's , including an original copy of the Undertones's first album(the white sleeve with the Derry wall pic), Wow! I already have the first album 5 times but not in this version. It was in mint condition and it really was the original Sire UK release from 1979(without Teenage Kicks). The original price was 25 Euro but afer a telephonecall with his boss we discussed the price down to 11 Euro. Part 2 to follow

Julius on 21:21 11th-Jan-02 GMT #fa9-11944
Part 2 of Undertones LP: The album did not include the Red Inner sleeve, but the Inner sleeve had a nice surprise though, I found out, when I came home: it contained an original ticket for the Undertones debutconcert in Holland (which was in Arnhem too where they also gave their last Dutch concert in 1983). The ticket was left by the previous owner, what a great day!! (and what an anorak I am...)

Julius on 21:27 11th-Jan-02 GMT #fa9-11945
Catched up on the last pages: Jackie, goodmorning in Dutch is 'goedemorgen', if you meet someone at night you say:'Goedenavond' try and remember this coz our competition is on. I will certainly be at an Undertonesconcert in 2002. Bearing in mind the average length of an Undertones-song (and Jimmy Jimmy especially) I have got respect for your 'gettin'in fronttime'(just half a song!). But I go in serious training, when we meet we say goedenavond and the race is on!!

Julius on 21:31 11th-Jan-02 GMT #fa9-11946
Great pics, Lindsay!! Lively! Could you tell me who's who on the Dublin pics???? Had some good news on our son's health, so that means a great chance for me to cross the sea for an Undertones/Moondogs-concert somewhere in 2002!

Ernie @ on 23:09 11th-Jan-02 GMT #eeb-11947
Check out the `Pogoed at Gigs` page for my photos of The Nerve Centre, Derry. If you want to see more let me know!
