I believe that in a typical week about 30,000 - 35,000 units would achieve no 1 in the UK singles chart. That doesn't allow for the 'big hitters' eg Kylie's smash last year which I think was doing about 100k a week at its peak.

Kylie can give me a big hit any time she likes. Havent tried audiogalaxy or morpheus yet but I have them in my favourites when i get around to it. I am looking for something by a band called (I think) 10 Bensons, heard it on the radio a few months back and sat in the car to see who it was long after I had arrived home, it aws so good.

No sorry Cliff if I remember correctly we never did get to meet the Undertones at Dublin!! Though my mam did say, 'oh yes I recognise him, who is it?' (It was Damian) Obviously burnt onto her brain. Unlike my dad who after taping the sessions LP recently for me said, 'I never realised they were a punk band'. Obviously wore ear plugs for the whole of the 80s.

Julius, I can highly recommend the best of CD. It features a good mix of stuff from all the albums. I got it for £6.99 from HMV - a bargain I thought.
