Well done with all the typing CMoS. You must be very tired this morning. What a list eh? Sorry for my technical ignorance Vinny but what exactly does that 'B' mean (in stupid-female terms please!). Is it just me flying the flag for theundertones.net in York and Sheffield?? If anyone else is going, which day?? Vinny, if you are coming over, I can provide a free bed for the Yorkshire dates - either top bunk in Simon's room (with en-suite playstation facilities) or futon in study (with en-suite (much-used) computer & (little-used) gym facilities), exclusive use of indoor swimming pool (ie. the bath!) and badly-cooked breakfast & dinner included.

Arthur on 10:55 11th-Feb-02 GMT #d12-12597
The documentary should cover as much of Britain as possible. Reaction has been great so now the band have some sort of platform with which to reassert themselves... well that's the theory. There are still a couple more screenings to come through including Manchester hopefully.

Lindsay on 11:37 11th-Feb-02 GMT #ecc-12599
Before Cliff says it, 'platform with which to reassert themselves..' Could that possibly mean more gigs??

Lindsay on 12:15 11th-Feb-02 GMT #76a-12600
A big well done for all your sterling work Arthur. You are a saint. Saint Arthur sounds quite good doesn't it? The area around Cityscreen on a Friday night will be full of pretentious, suit-wearing, mobile-talking trendies so it will be my great pleasure to enter Bar 38 next door in my t-shirt and give them all a fright!

Arthur on 12:35 11th-Feb-02 GMT #d12-12601
No it doesn't mean more gigs. It's an oportunity to let people know who the band were and more importantly that they are still going. Hopefully a lot of the trendies around the cinema in York will be going to see the documentaruy.

Lee on 12:44 11th-Feb-02 GMT #fb0-12602
Thursday 25th April Warwick Arts Centre is in the diary. Who else is going ?

Lee on 12:50 11th-Feb-02 GMT #fb0-12603
It's looking good Cliff - I should be at the Portsmouth and Crewe games. If you're going and you fancy getting together before either game let me know. Better still if you want to get some practice in you could look after the 5 kids for the afternoon in the Halfords Lane stand (The kids like to be by the dugout where they can hear the managers swearing) while me and my 2 mates go to the Brummie Road end.

Lindsay on 14:47 11th-Feb-02 GMT #c20-12604
Arthur I'm sure there will be plenty enough genuinely interested, music-loving, arts-inspired cinema-goers in York to ensure a good turnout. It will be interesting to see who does come along though, which is why I'd like to go to both as I suspect the Sheffield audience will be somewhat different.

Lindsay on 14:58 11th-Feb-02 GMT #f27-12605
No-one would doubt it's a marvellous opportunity to tell the story of the band but surely once people know the band are still going, the most frequently-asked question after the showings is going to be 'when can we see new line-up live?'

Jon on 17:21 11th-Feb-02 GMT #d41-12606
Vinny - great news to see The film coming to Oxford. Is anyone else on this site going to make it there ?

Cliff on 17:30 11th-Feb-02 GMT #ccd-12607
Alex, it was after they won the Cup in 1968, stuck with'em ever since. As for decent crowds, I wonder how many other clubs would average 15,000 after 15 years outside the top division and no cup run?(until this season when we average 20,000 and actually HAVE a cup run)Would other 'big clubs' get that sort of support after so much misery? apart from a handful, I dont think so.

Cliff on 17:37 11th-Feb-02 GMT #ccd-12608
Happy to meet up Lee, Crewe will be postponed if we make the Q/F which is good for me as mid week games are easier.I sit in the BRE I have an 11 year season ticket..seat QQ 94.I'll prepare myself for jokes re the 11 year ticket.....

AlexD on 17:44 11th-Feb-02 GMT #c5a-12609
That was a definite don't mess with the Baggies message!

Cliff on 18:05 11th-Feb-02 GMT #ccd-12610
You better believe it! or The Undertones ;-))

wilke @ on 18:21 11th-Feb-02 GMT #bf0-12611
hello a big thank you to vinny for the cd`s and cliff for the video

Jackie on 18:33 11th-Feb-02 GMT #455-12612
Lee while youre around another thanks for the TPE CDs as I taped them last night so have been listening to them on the way to work and back-plus on the walkman in bed last night! Made an excellent tape box insert using the picture of Damian playing bass!

doninblack on 19:43 11th-Feb-02 GMT #e13-12613
Donald, have you enough Brownie points for a 3 day pass? I'll be doing 2 minimum. Anybody else doing Edinburgh? (Alex no doubt). Arthur/Vinny, is Glasgow still in the running?(definite big turnout I would predict). Top work by the way!!!

Cliff on 20:50 11th-Feb-02 GMT #1d6-12614
The link to 'Tampere Film Festival' didn't work for me, anyone else tried? Another few listens to 'Oh Please' tonight...WOW!! its bloody good.

Jackie on 21:34 11th-Feb-02 GMT #455-12615
Feel like I'm the only person in the universe who hasnt heard this rendition of Oh Please. CMoS is there no way your technical wizardry could put a downloadable sample on the site under 'New Songs'- failing that an MP3 of Cliff singing it would do ;o))

Lee on 21:41 11th-Feb-02 GMT #ade-12616
Jackie you're not alone. I too feel deprived ! But worse for me 'coz I've never heard any rendition of any of the new songs. I can hear the sympathy across the land. C'mon you guys - sort out Hackney please.

donald on 22:46 11th-Feb-02 GMT #e46-12617
I expect to make at least 2 nights with abig night out on the saturday since its the only day I am not working the next day. Should be excellent.

Cliff on 22:47 11th-Feb-02 GMT #845-12618
I've been singing it all night, watch out Paul.

Cliff on 22:48 11th-Feb-02 GMT #845-12619
Shame theres no gig with it eh Donald? I'd fly up for that.

Cliff on 22:50 11th-Feb-02 GMT #845-12620
If either of you want to phone me I'd be happy to play it over the phone.I'm serious.

Lindsay on 23:30 11th-Feb-02 GMT #c53-12621
A conference-link should do it Cliff. Hope your neighbours have earplugs! JACKIE - Did you not get my email last week???? I've re-sent it tonight - let me know if you don't get it. Perhaps you'd better check yours too Lee!

doninblack on 23:54 11th-Feb-02 GMT #b55-12622
Donald, I'll send you an email to get something sorted. Saturday is a definite. Will probably also go for the Thursday as it's the Scottish Premiere! Lobster T-shirt with kilt and DMs sounds about right.

wilke @ on 23:55 11th-Feb-02 GMT #523-12623
