Musings
Bow Wow Wow-great live, great first album. Jackie on 11:16 6th-Mar-02 GMT #2b7-13132 ATTITUDE-they had it in spades!! Unlike most of the tame stuff around now, or that Slipknot type rubbish which as far as I'm concerned Kiss and other heavy metal bands did to death 25 years ago! Long hair and headbanging is out so its just reinvented itself. CMoS on 12:02 6th-Mar-02 GMT #a5b-13133 The intials were the (first) 5 Clash albums and the radiodead albums mentioned previously. I wondered if ©® would prefer RH to the C on a desert island - his reply said it all. Youlve got to take the 2CD Ramones anthology on to an island - bopping away drinking your shrimp alcohol and dancing with your vollleyball. Lee on 12:39 6th-Mar-02 GMT #fb0-13134 It's a sad day - just asked for a refund on the Ocean tickets I bought. The gig should have been 2 months ago and the receptionist admitted they had no news but still had to go away and check with the manager that she could give a refund. Mike on 19:28 6th-Mar-02 GMT #b74-13135 Good on you Jackie - Soul to Soul pure class andy mcauley @ on 19:28 6th-Mar-02 GMT #6a9-13137 really looking forward to the joey ramone tribute night.off to new york next week on a ramones pilgrimage.you should check out joey's just released solo album.it will blow your mind. Jackie on 17:41 6th-Mar-02 GMT #455-13138 Lee its very sad about Ocean, I feel bad and I wasnt even able to go! The worst bit is there's no 'official' explanation on this one- surely someone could leave a reason WHY if not on here then at the box office?? Without being controversial, is it because there was a poor ticket sale? (Because of the timing/venue?) I wonder. wilke @ on 22:00 6th-Mar-02 GMT #8a9-13139 hi how are you lot doing this wet wet night.albums i would take with me to the island are 1 first tones album 2 sex pistols never mind album 3cure best of 4 clash singles 5 jubilee punk three.came a cross the boomtown rats first album very good mary of the 4th form great song sotalk to you lot later see ya Steve on 22:36 6th-Mar-02 GMT #397-13140 CMoS, Sorry it's taken so long to reply about your E.P, it's just that i like to listen to the stuff first before I pass judgement. It's not my cup of tea, I'm afraid. You should cheer up a bit, the tracks sound so depressing to me, but hell what would I know, at least you have had the balls to actually create something and respect is due for that. Your vocals sounded like somebody to me, it only clicked the other day....Dan Treacy! So what are other peoples opinions? George on 23:00 6th-Mar-02 GMT #818-13141 What has happened to the best 60 minute setlist. Has it been removed from the site or am I looking in the wrong place. Who is Dan Treacy? CMoS on 23:23 6th-Mar-02 GMT [theundertones.net/cgi-bin/under10.pl] #d79-13142 Still there George ! Julius on 23:29 6th-Mar-02 GMT #449-13143 CMoS: I just recieved the EP and I like it! I am now listening to it for the 7th time and I think both track 1 and 3 have a very strong melody: I myself quite like the combination between your voice and the synthie-music: a dark voice with softer music which is a different but good combi I think, so I am pleased with your efforts!!! I like it, so thanks for sending me it!!! Julius on 23:31 6th-Mar-02 GMT #449-13144 The style of your singing is doom, CMoS but that makes it good and different. It is not hear doften these days so it makes a difference from the rest we hear today. Dan Treacy is the leadsinger of the Television Personalities, a band who made many great and weird popsongs!! Lindsay on 23:57 6th-Mar-02 GMT #202-13145 So long hair is 'out' now eh Jackie? Oh well, I always did like to be different! CMoS - are you going to the film Saturday?? I like doom. Doom's good. Hello Ryck;-) sadly I think I was too old for BWW and all that attitude. Student life and T.Explodes/OMD/DM had taken over by then. Totally agree about the Boomtown Rats first album Wilke - much harder edge to it. Tonic for the Troops was more commercial but still excellent. Did you see my earlier message by the way and have you sent an email yet as I haven't received one.
