Hi Julius - I went to see 'Serious Drinking' in the mid eighties when they must have played to a crowd of about 20. I think crowds are down though. The Charlatans played here at the Waterfront a few weeks back and the hall was less than half full. By the way HMV have a great sale at the moment. What Feargal did was make great songs come to life and yes it takes a special singer to do that but the songs are SO good that frankly even Wilke could sing them and they would still sound great!! The fact that to this day they sound fantastic in a live situation is down to the excellent job that Paul does with them.
