I think you're dead right there Donin, there is definately a demand there from all ages.I know a kid in Glasgow through our football interests and hes keen to see the film there at the end of May.He also read the review in 'uncut'.It's starting to look less likely this year though by the sound of it, maybe next year to coincide with the release of a new album? yes please!!

Cliff on 08:25 21st-Apr-02 GMT #c1d-14017
I mean live gigs when I say less likely....hope I'm wrong though.

donald on 11:03 21st-Apr-02 GMT #e46-14019
Great news the other 2 Edinburgh shows were sold out donin. I did try to persuade/bribe/bully my 11 year old into going on Saturday but he was having none of it. Ill just have to wait for Glasgow. Alex D, Donin, Brian and myself joking hatched a plan to hire 'The Garage' a great venue near the Glasgow Film Theatre to put a bit of added pressure on the band to play a gig - maybe its not such a bad idea after all!

Vinny on 14:27 21st-Apr-02 GMT #ed3-14021
Great news about Edinburgh screenings. Thanks for the info everyone. We really are delighted with the response to the film and it would be great if some of them could now coincide with gigs, eg: Glasgow!!

donald on 15:01 21st-Apr-02 GMT #e46-14022
I'm still thinking about the great turnout for th film. 368 people (out of a maximum seating of 436). I read the other week that on average cinemas operate at 10% capacity for those film anoracks out there. The timings were better than at other venues but still not ideal for everyone. The Filmhouse does distribute a monthly magazine which is available in resturants and pubs in the city and there was a good plug on Radio Scotland so maybe that made the difference. There is still clearly a large audience out there, who care about the band, its just a case of getting the promotion across and people will turn up for gigs. If just the Edinburgh film audience turned up that would be the Garage half filled already.Put on a Tennents Supercharger promo and the Weegies would be queueing round the block.

The guy that owns the Garage is a friend of a friend. Now if someone from a certain band were to contact me i'd gladly get in touch with him.......

Vinny on 15:49 21st-Apr-02 GMT #93f-14024
Alex: I've just sent you some management details on the band for your friend of a friend!!

wilke @ on 16:09 21st-Apr-02 GMT #eec-14025

donald on 17:35 21st-Apr-02 GMT #e46-14026
Just saw on the news that WBA got promotion - I'm really pleased for Cliff, better not get news of a gig too soon or the man will explode!

Jon on 18:03 21st-Apr-02 GMT #6a1-14028
Well done to the Baggies, Cliff. I expect it will be a few days before you're back here - enjoy it ! Great to hear of the excellent audiences for the film Vinny.

doninblack on 20:19 21st-Apr-02 GMT #343-14029
Donald, who'd have thought a band would turn you into a football anorak?! Well done Cliff (even if I will be supporting an opposition team next year). Vinny, how's about that Julian Temple yarn? It's a killer.

George on 21:03 21st-Apr-02 GMT #53c-14030
Now that WBA are promoted I only hope it is not at Sunderland's expense. I should be grateful that Ipswich have such an awkward run-in. His fave football club have been promoted, he is a father-to-be, now what else could he want? If Billy or Paul still read this site, a few extra dates either side of Galway would be very handy.

Vinny on 21:18 21st-Apr-02 GMT #623-14031
Donin: You tell it and I'll make corrections if necessary!!

doninblack on 21:30 21st-Apr-02 GMT #762-14032
Vinny, I couldn't do it justice...you were there

Vinny on 21:41 21st-Apr-02 GMT #cdf-14033

Julius on 22:13 21st-Apr-02 GMT #217-14036
Well done with the baggies Cliff, you are probably quite runk right now but well deserved!! So Anfield and Highbury for you next year??? Been catching up postings, great news on Galway; hope to make it there!!! Was off for a week, thanks to one Shane Mac Gowan but I'll give you this story later(so that is 2 stories to catch up with:Vinny&Julien temple and Me&Shane!!). Vinny' I'll mail you on the Moondogs!

Julius on 22:14 21st-Apr-02 GMT #217-14037
Ofcourse I meant drunk instead of runk. Isn't runk a very dirty word???

Lee on 22:45 21st-Apr-02 GMT #8fc-14038
Don't know how Cliff is doing but I was there today as the Baggies got promotion. Took my eldest and haven't seen him smile so much in ages. Like the other 26,000 we ended up on the pitch. I think I'm hooked - lost my voice towards the end of the game and just got back from a few beers. Have to check on season ticket prices now. The only downside was seeing Jake (Aged 8) chanting along while The Liquidator came on at the start - Cliff know's the chant! If I feel like this I can't imagine what Cliff is feeling like as he's been a lifelong fan. I think this is the start of a great week - big work day Tuesday and the film on Thursday.

Lee on 22:56 21st-Apr-02 GMT #8fc-14039
Just downloaded the Albion Kicks remix per Cliffs message from a few days ago - just do a search on the Liquidator and you will find the site. It's well worth a listen.
