Oldcastle is approx 50 miles northwest of Dublin, in Meath near the border with Cavan.

Just returned to the site after a horrible month (which included missing the Newcastle showing) and find out the fantastic news that 3 gigs which I can definitely attend. Fantastic

Good to hear about the new gigs. I'll have to check the dates, I think I might be away on holiday. Cliff - yes I did see the film in Oxford, excellent stuff. I'm just disappointed at the turnout which I think I said was less than 20 due to lack of advertising and bad time of showing. Saw Film2002 on BBC Choice - great to see and if only it had been before the Oxford showing who knows.

Wilke, Oldcastle is out for me too (as like Lee I'm due in Cornwall on the 27th - whereabouts in Cornwall are you Lee?) but I'm working on the other two. Flights are quite expensive as Jackie says. If anyone finds a cheap one from Gatwick can they please let me know. Actually maybe I could swing another weeks holiday before Cornwall - a cottage in County Clare looks good!

Another possibility as Dominic suggested to me on Thursday is flying to Shannon. Flights from Stansted are only £20 more return than to Dublin and it would save on transport for anyone not going to Oldcastle.

Yes Lee, surfing champ me - can't wait to hit the waves and be rescued by a beefy lifeguard. Actually, sunbathing (hopefully!), cream teas and doing sod all is nearer the truth. Stansted to Shannon, Thurs 25th 11.15, return Sat 13.00 - cost £79.98 + taxes = £102.54. That'll do nicely.

I think we might make one of the gigs, oldcastle would be easiest as its closest to Dublin, but I'm not going if you lot arent! Then again, all three would be good, but it would involve car hire. Plus I'm going to France the next week so money will be tight. No problems getting time off work (for me). I've inquired how much a flight from Dublin to Galway is one way!
