Its all been said already but Im never one to keep quiet. I thought that The Undertones playing without Feargal was the daftest thing I had ever heard. I wasnt going to go to The Fleadgh but in the end I decided that I couldnt not go. I was totally blown away and have managed to make the trip twice to Dublin since then which I wouldnt have done in the early days. The Undertones have always been at their best live and they are still the best live band with or without Feargal. Its that simple. I really dont think you can be to precious about the past and the Undertones with Paul having recorded and played truly excellent new songs seem to be looking to the future and that can only be a positive thing.

the band value their reputation and have turned down gigs including a Punk all dayer in Blackpool (thank god). I think their plan is that if they only play and release records in Ireland it doesnt really count as a reunion!!!

Rick, you wouldn't happen to be very closely related to 'Bradley' by any chance?

Television are playing The Liquid Room on 17 June. A must see gig methinks. See you there Donald?

Well I'd like to thank you all for the flurry of views and I must say I am quite pleased to have got such a strong reaction to my posting. When I first saw the Undertones I couldn't believe how good they were, everytine I saw them since they were better & better. I stumbled across the reunion late one night on the net and couldn't believe it

The only problem now is that I live in Singapore & the concerts are in Ireland, I would love to go, Steve, sorry mate, but I am curious!

Donin...Went to see Television last year in London...Supurb stuff....Played mostly stuff from the 1992 LP...With bits from Marquee Moon...Only one from Adventure....Last Month they played in New York for the first time in years and Included New Numbers plus long forgotten songs they never got officially around to recording. CMoS, yes it is that Johnny Green, EX Roadie to the Clash...(He does appear in Rude Boy as well.)The Book is A great read....What's this Boot then? I Would'nt mind a copy as it's not familliar to me.

For the record if anyones interested, I saw the band live 13 times first time round(not a record i KNOW) and believed that there wasnt a band before or since to beat them live, and can honestly say I was sceptical-til I set foot in the Olympia last December and all the doubts were blown away. Of course it would be electric to see the band live with our beloved Feargal but Its (not) Going to Happen and Paul is just as good IMO. It makes you realise that Feargal WAS only a small part of the band after all.And I dont have a beer belly Cliff!!!!

Lindsay I know exactly the pic your talking about- nice, but I didnt like the jumper! Which also appeared in the MPC video me thinks.

Cliff just out of interest and of course to annoy the knitting fraternity :) simmer down!! What do you make of Celtic and the Forces of Darkness joining the Nationwide? I know you will be munching prawn sandwiches next season but how do you think the Glasgow erm...Giants would fare?
