Due to a few personal difficulties, I won't be able to post for a while (don't all cheer at once!). At least it will give some of you lot a chance of catching me up in the postings tally. I will return soon though - I promise. In the meantime, if there are any significant announcements like 'The Undertones Play Leeds' (I wish!) can someone kindly email me - thanks. GEORGE - I got your message and will reply soon. HUGH - your tape is done and I will post it this week. I've also added an extra surprise on the end - hope you enjoy it!

Anorak alert for Julius! The promo single you mentioned sounds as though it’s the three track 7” that was pressed in the UK, but largely exported to promote the 1981 European tour. Some copies have a tour date sticker on the sleeve, some have the ‘push-out’ centre removed. Until a few years ago, I’d never seen a copy – eBay seems to have seen a few copies surface. Two copies for a € - bargain!

Julius on 12:20 7th-May-02 GMT #5c2-14394
Thanks for the info Dave, I haven't got the copy yet, have to get it at my friend. Just very lucky to found this NME Punk edition here in Holland; thanks for anyone who offered help!! Lindsay, I hope you are okay, I wish you all good things!!! Holland is really in shock, one of our major politicians got shot last night, I did not agree with his views but he managed to shake things up a little in our country, which was badly needed. It is a sad thing someone gets shot because of his views

Hope everything is ok Lindsay.

Was listening to someone covering a Dylan song this morning and as soon as the track starts the singers voice changes to try to sound like Dylan. Why do they do that - why not try to be themselves? While listening I found myself remembering the bit of the film when Paul explains he's not tried to copy Feargal but that it's impossible to sing the songs without a Derry accent and Peel agrees.

Knowing a few of the people on this site it didn't cross my mind to be too worried about the 'is it or isn't it the Undertones' debate - I just concentrated on making sure that I can get to the gigs. I trust you all to have been honest in your reviews/comments on the earlier gigs with the result that I am keen to experience it for myself. Thought I had a problem as it's my nephew's 18th birthday but looks like I am in the clear!

Christine @ on 15:51 7th-May-02 GMT #894-14399
Having reread recent comments I still can't work out whether anyone is going to all of the gigs or whether most people are going to just one. I can probably manage all three (I need to catch up!) what are the rest of you doing?

Christine @ on 15:53 7th-May-02 GMT #894-14400
Oops! Nearly got caught emailing the site by my director - if I get sacked I probably can't afford to go anywhere so will log back on later and see what you are all up to

Jackie on 19:04 7th-May-02 GMT #455-14403
Christine- I thought you were the director!!;-)) Lindsay hope everything's ok- I was thinking of you yesterday as we zoomed by your turn off on the A1.

I've been told by people in my running club that I appeared in a Crimestoppers video on TV tonight. On Saturday when I was shopping at Woolworths a shoplifter pushed her way past me, pursued closely by shop staff. Why the staff didn't shout for assistance I don't know. Anyway that's my alibi. As for how Celtic and Rangers would do in the Premiership. Celtic would give Leeds a good hiding. I would expect Celtic to finish top six, with the odd challenge for the title itself.

having just seen Celtic vs Leeds on channel 5 (Gary Kelly's testimonial) you would have to say Celtic would do very well. I've seen Colin Healy play in the last few Republic games and he looked superb - one for the future. Hartson obviously looks like he's had a good upbringing in football. Where was it he started - oh yes the mighty Hatters.

just saw the My Perfect Cousin video in Classic rock channel on the cable TV. Great stuff and I think I recognised Vinny in it. Do I get a prize? Glad yur PCs working Wilke. I am hoping Rangers and Celtic do join the English league and the Scottish league breaks up and there is no more football in Scotland -the world (or scotland) would be a better place :)

AlexD on 23:22 7th-May-02 GMT #e50-14409
Celtic did look quite good tonight if only the played that way in the Cup Final. The thing is I doubt if they will get a sniff at the Premiership although I believe that there is a possibility of joining the Nationwide and if West Brom can get promoted then anything's possible.......Only teasing Cliff.
