What a nice surprise (actually two): A great Undertones-website and here I find out, they have been reunited (these news don't travel easily to Denmark, I guess). This is probably the place, if any, where I could find, if there are any existing live takes (from the old days). I never got the chance to watch them, except on tv (Marathon Rock from Gruga Halle in Essen, Germany in 1982, I think it was). I once had a casette tape with that show, but it was stolen from me (cruel, isn't it ;-))

Torkil @ on 17:51 21st-May-02 GMT #833-14711
Checkin the site, I found the list of releases including VCD's with concerts (one of them from Grugahalle in 1981 - my memory wasn't that bad ;-)) But I can't see, where to buy these. Can anyone help? Btw. I recently saw an episode of the tv-show Jaskass - one of their ridicolous stunts was accompanied by Teenage Kicks

George: Paul has been in several dramas here, some of which I was involved in years ago. These were for BBC NI,etc and may not have been seen outside of here. He is an excellent actor.

Tv21 site is good. Never heard some of the downloads before. Agree All join Hands is awful. Pity Snakes and Ladders isn't available.

Lee @ on 12:50 21st-May-02 GMT #fb0-14720
Derek - I can transfer Snakes and Ladders from vinyl to MP3. Email me if you are interested.

Lee on 12:52 21st-May-02 GMT #fb0-14721
The wonders of modern technology - really appreciated broadband last night. Downloaded 31 tracks in less than 1 hour from either the Tv21 site or the Shame site that links to it. The old connection would have taken weeks and cost a fortune.

Hi Derek, glad your back! Dont tell David about Altered I mages or he'll be off like a shot.(Christine do you remeber seeing them at Tiffanys in 81?) Perhaps he could go with you George. I think CG looks abit like Margaret Thatcher.I went to see Johnathan Wilkes in Godspell last night, it was quite a good show(loud!). Didnt have a clue who JW was- asked if he was on Pop Idol or Blue Peter. Neither, apparantly hes a friend of Robbie Williams. Big wow. Another talentless dolt.I enjoyed not knowing about any of it. Though I have to say he looked ok in a vest!!:-))

Is anyone hiring a car from Shannon to Galway? A friend went last year in a taxi (company was paying!) and it took 1 1/2 hours. He also said the taxi drivers method of getting past another car was to nudge them off the road!

George on 21:17 21st-May-02 GMT #1d6-14730
Clare Grogan certainly doesn't remind me of Margaret Thatcher. Is your TV working properly Jackie? I saw Altered Images in Newcastle before they hit the charts. It might have been Tiffany's. Is that the one next to the Laing? See Siouxsie and the Banshees were on TOTP2 this week. She's 45 this week. Same age as the singer in Dollar. Both bands have reformed for concerts. I know which one I would prefer to see. Unfortunately Dollar are on the tour with Altered Images.

I just got an email from Norman Rodger - main man from Tv21 - well I'm excited about it !

George on 21:21 21st-May-02 GMT #1d6-14732
Did Cook da' books not support the Undertones. There hasn't been any talk about them. I have a few of their singles. Don't know if they did an LP.

Lee on 22:01 21st-May-02 GMT #ce9-14733
Yep - I saw Cook Da Boks supporting the Undertones. Can't recall their singles - remind me George.

wilke @ on 22:14 21st-May-02 GMT #d12-14734

Clare Grogan went to my school, apparently. So did Jim Kerr or Juan as he was better known, and so did Fran from Travis. Bet your all jealous now! It was just like 'Fame' at playtime.
