Does anyone have recommendations for where to stay for the Galway and Limerick gigs?

Vinny on 22:04 10th-Jun-02 GMT #d12-15071
Alex, both venues are accommodation also so I'd try there first; THE WARWICK and DOLANS. Good luck.

I thought you were only going to Oldcastle Alex. Did anyone stay last time at either venue - indication of cost please? Still not sure I can go - depends on job situation.

Waded through all the old stuff from the loft yesterday. Interesting stuff in Smash Hits - Paul Weller putting 'Family Entertainment' in his All Time Top Ten (Dec 79), John Peel at 40 (Oct 79) on why The Undertones make him cry (fuller transcript to follow if I get chance), review of YGMN (a taut, compulsive love song..with Feargal wringing the lyric for every last ounce of desperation) and The Tones in Finland '81 (ending up in a Russian restaurant boasting reindeer steaks and bear soup on the menu, cue series of terrible Bear Jokes - first Damian: 'I'm only hear for the bear' and then Mickey complaining his steak was 'a bit grizzly'!! Best bit waving to some Russian sailors shouting cheery greetings like 'Hands off Afghanistan' and 'Filthy Commies'. Luckily they couldn't understand a word!

Sorry Alex - just realised I missed you in the chatroom. I minimised it and then forgot to switch on the speakers so I didn't hear the frog!

http://www.dolans-pub.ie/ http://www.thewarwick.com/ Warwick seems reasonable £37.50 a night peak r/o. I'm going to Galway & Limerick, Oldcastle dubious, but you never know!
