Had a pretty grim last few days with 2 peoople crying off work for this weekend.A new girl left(no great loss in itself but I could have done with her there for the w/e)and another has gone sick for 'probably a week'.This means we are extremely short and the pressure is on to find somebody or I'll have to do it myself, which means no Undertones gigs and a couple of hundred quid down the drain.These are just some of the joys of running your own business.

Cliff - don't you think it wrong that Murdoch can go around the world buying up as many TV stations, newspapers, film studios etc as he likes without restraint. Media control and the ability to say what does and does not get through to people in terms of information is a great power. Here in the UK his cross media ownership practically dictates government policy. He's courted by politicians because they know he can win or lose elections for them. Do I sound paranoid ?

Cliff if I lived closer I'd gladly come and work in your caff to let you go to the gigs (aren't I kind)I used to work in a corner shop near my mams- I was a whizz on the bacon slicer! Yesterday was bizarre; as it has now been turned into a sunbed place I just had to go and investigate!.I will probably make the chatroom later after BB. Five hours from now I finish work for two weeks, deep joy!! Thursday can't come quick enough. I've went into full nerdy stalker mode and booked for Oldcastle as well, intensive care room on standbye awaiting my return. Any luck at your end yet Cliff?
