Just a short note to thank everyone who came to the shows - many, many, many thanks. I hoped you loved them as much as I did. I 'd do it all again. Hope to see you soon. Billy Doherty(Drummer The Undertones) Jackie on 10:27 1st-Aug-02 GMT #81e-15996 George how did all them people fit in your house??:-) Derek on 10:36 1st-Aug-02 GMT #54b-15997 Wow what a few days. Only just recovered. Thanks to Henry I survived. I fell in the mosh pit for the first time ever (must be getting old or something) and got pulled up by Henry. Galway was FANTASTIC. New songs were great. These had some of the LADIES (as George puts it) dancing some way out (ie non punk) moves. Stayed up till 6.30am that night AND still got up for breakfast. The Limerick gig was a better sound quality but not as good an atmosphere as Galway. Wished I'd known Oldcastle was not a festival like I'd imagined as it was indoors. I may have gone then. Can't wait for some more. Did constantly ask for some gigs for the U.K. as did everyone else. And who knows it might just happen. I can't afford to go to all the gig in Ireland, I don't know about everyone else. doninblack on 12:15 1st-Aug-02 GMT #8e3-15999 Derek, what was the latest reaction to requests for UK gigs? As they've split with Solo (who seemed by all accounts disinterested) maybe they're looking for a new promoter. There may be some light at the end of the tunnel. I doubt if I'll be heading for any Irish gigs (as I already had that pleasure when I was a youngster). I'll wait patiently for the next tour (?) donald on 15:57 1st-Aug-02 GMT #9be-16001 Derek - did you end up on a horse and trap instead of a taxi like we did in Dublin?Did you get a photo of that.Wish we got a picture of the drunk bloke getting arrested. doninblack on 16:51 1st-Aug-02 GMT #8e3-16004 Did anyone go to the Pistols gig? He did say he thought one song was 'a bit Dr Feelgood'.not sure which one. Cliff on 23:45 1st-Aug-02 GMT #dc0-16011 At the soundcheck in Galway a young kid(11-12?) got up to do 'Jimmy Jimmy', obviously someone the band know.I thought they'd call me up next but maybe Paul was scared of the competition. No,I meant in looks NOT singing ;-)) George on 23:46 1st-Aug-02 GMT #6d4-16012 Just been to see my punk revival band tonight. Teenage Kicks has been replaced in the set by Into the Valley. Ended up singing Julie Ocean all the way, my 10 minute extended mix. I've now met 9 people who were at the Sex Pistols concert at the weekend. 2 thought it was crap, 5 were disappointed and thought it only so-so and two thought they were excellent. wilke on 00:02 2nd-Aug-02 GMT #949-16013 just about head of on my trip spain so see you in two weeks talk soon see ya Vinny on 00:03 2nd-Aug-02 GMT #15f-16014 Cliff, I think that was the owner's son.
