Cliff - Peter Bloor's review is really good. If he saw the film in Manchester and decided to go see them, well that's better still. I agree with you about some of the gigs the band do in Ireland, they're not really suitable but they are out of the way enough for the band to develop with their not so new vocalist.

Great review by Peter. Hopefully the DVD can encourage more people to give the new Undertones a try live and we know they wont be disappointed. Surely the band will run out of places to play in Ireland soon and have to set there sights further afield especially when the DVD and album is released. If there dont tour outside Ireland then, will they ever? Vinny do you have a copy of Paul singing Soul Seven?

Lindsay on 12:18 6th-Aug-02 GMT #77e-16096
I was always a bit surprised we never got more comments on here after the film showings so it was great to hear Peter enjoyed the film and thus was inspired to give the live performances a try. Glad you enjoyed it Peter and thanks for sharing the experience with us. (Keep on the ball Cliff, you have competition in the review stakes!)

Lindsay on 12:24 6th-Aug-02 GMT #77e-16097
No I'm not telling fibs George, Paul was indeed in OK magazine after the Fleadh (along with the late Kirsty McColl and two Corrs). A handsome devil he looked too but I can't say I remember, I was too busy watching someone else!

Lindsay on 12:39 6th-Aug-02 GMT [pub32.bravenet.com/chat/show.php] #433-16098
Just for you Wilke, here's the link. Are we back on Thursdays now? If you can make it that would be great but don't forget the Sangria!! PS. No sensible conversation from me if that stuff's on tap. I'll be well gone by 11.00!

Cliff on 18:48 6th-Aug-02 GMT #4d6-16099
Vinny.....'I said that people expect one to pick the brilliant TEENAGE KICKS'.'one??' oooooooh I think we're all a bit to common for you nowadays.Anyway, one has to go and eat ones supper in the dining room now.

Cliff on 18:49 6th-Aug-02 GMT #4d6-16100
We have been sweaty in each others presence though Henry.

Cliff on 19:19 6th-Aug-02 GMT #4d6-16101
I've just flicked thru the last few days and theres messages appeared that weren't there last time I looked.Nice to see Billy(DTU) on again, I thought he was spending all his time on the Man U(yuk) website these days.Billy(DTU) told me he'd seen United play at Shelbourne a couple of days earlier and that Roy Keane got a great reception, I wonder what anybodys thoughts are on that?

Vinny on 19:24 6th-Aug-02 GMT #e64-16102
Cliff, 'one'replaces 'you' which can cause confusion if you/ one knows what I mean!!! Don't you dare start or it'll be more than that review you sent that'll appear in The Journal!!There'll be another story regarding certain 'washed' Christmas pressies!!

donald on 20:34 6th-Aug-02 GMT #e46-16103
Vinny, one shouldn't make threats to ones humdinging chums. You are a bounder and a cad even if Cliffy does have weak bladder.

Lindsay on 21:08 6th-Aug-02 GMT #cec-16104
So Vinny does that mean 'Get Over You' becomes 'Get Over One' or likewise 'Ones Got My Number, Why Don't One Use it?' That last you doesn't sound right does it. Anyway, enough of this piffle, what one really wants to know is does one think the 'Teenage Kicks' programme tonight will have a certain well-loved song as it's theme tune?

Arthur on 21:26 6th-Aug-02 GMT #29f-16105
Actually Lindsay - it should be One Has My Number Why Does Not One Use It. So One is used in the third person, without denoting gender or using the word 'it' which could be insulting ie It's Got My Number Why Doesn't It Use It.

Arthur on 21:28 6th-Aug-02 GMT #29f-16106
What was that dsong with the refrain 'Pissing the Night Away?'

AlexD on 21:57 6th-Aug-02 GMT #bab-16107
Maybe Cliff knows!! perhaps he could give you a tinkle, sorry Cliff just a wee(wee) joke. Bet one feels better for sharing with the group now!

George on 22:28 6th-Aug-02 GMT #625-16108
For the second time in a fortnight I've collected an old gadgee's prize for running and both times I've worn my Jimmy Jimmy t-shirt to go and collect it in front of the other's runner. Mind you with the time Paula Radcliffe ran tonight she would have lapped me 4 or 5 times, and won my race by over a minute.

donald on 22:42 6th-Aug-02 GMT #e46-16109
Shouldnt that be 'James James'. Hope Cliff's not too upset, still he can always put on his favourite tunes to cheer him up, 'Piss in the Dark' and 'Sign and explode'

Lindsay on 22:58 6th-Aug-02 GMT #7fa-16110
Cliff wasn't at it all night was he?!?! Surely it was just a wee one, eh Cliff ;-)) God I'm turning scottish - help! Onto more serious business, sorry to question ones wisdom Arthur but surely it should be 'One Has My Number, Why Does One Not Use it' otherwise it implies lots of third parties don't call one (ie. you) as opposed to just one person in the singular, regardless of any gender issues as that's purely a personal matter. Alas no decent theme tune. One is not amused.

henry on 23:03 6th-Aug-02 GMT #ca6-16111
Tonight I turned up for my 7-a-side football team only for the ref to tell us that our kit was too similar in colour to the other teams and as we were the 'away' team we would have to be 'skins' or something (all refs are prats). Anyway, one took one's opportunity to dash back home as I live very close to the park we play in, and grab six shirts that were not dark blue. So, we had me in the lobster shirt doing the man marking job, 'Sweaty' on the wing in george's magnificent yellow Jimmy Jimmy shirt, our two midfield generals resplendent in red official undertones arrow design, cliffs original black at right back and a white undertones shirt mastering the left defensive position. The moral of this story is that somone needs to sort out an undertones goalkeeping jersey.

Cliff on 23:14 6th-Aug-02 GMT #91f-16112
Excellent story Henry, one is amused. The rest of you can 'piss' off ;-) Lindsay, it wasn't an all nighter, I hit my target first time of asking.

Cliff on 23:15 6th-Aug-02 GMT #91f-16113
Paula Radcliffe needs a bloody good dinner.

Cliff on 23:27 6th-Aug-02 GMT #91f-16114
Definately doing the 'YGMN' t-shirt, I need a pic of the back coz I got one of the front.Henry's trying to get an old pic for me, can anyone else help? Also confirm the original was definately black (not navy)with long sleeves?

Cliff on 23:28 6th-Aug-02 GMT #91f-16115
It's important to get these things spot on you know.
