Important news for all the travelers to Holland: the Nighttown in Rotterdam is quite near the central station(5 minutes walking) and there are nighttrains running to amsterdam, the last one leaving at 03.59, so it is possible for you to book all-weekend arrangements in amsterdam and return from rotterdam. Be early with hotelbookings in amsterdam though, it can be quite full. anyone any options for hotels already? I'ld like to take a hotel as well in amsterdam so maybe I can join some of you

The article on Dick Tracy and the tribute from John O'Neill are both very moving. There is little chance of me going to Amsterdam and the Acorn B&B in Derry is up for sale and Margaret has left. What is the world coming to.

Arthur on 15:44 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #18b-16832
Maybe it's because I haven't seen them since Christmas but I can't emphasise how good the band were in Letterkenny last week. Two of the new songs were just absolutely out of this world.

Flights booked so will be at Amsterdam. Need to book accomodation. Julius'info is useful. Not sure about Rotterdam. If I can leave Amsterdam late and get back same night it might help. See you all soon.

Unfortunately not Jackie, I'm a Dad now you know ;-) Newcastle is the only ground in the top division that has always eluded me.Great review on TK,I'm sure I'll make it to Amsterdam & Rotterdam.

Lindsay on 19:37 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #9ef-16836
How's it going Cliff?? It's a doddle isn't it ;-) Hope you can fit R/A into your hectic schedule. Just booked my tickets - flying BA from Birmingham 13.50 on the Friday, return 9pm on the Sunday - £78 smackers, not bad. Sounds like there will be a respectable humdinger contingent. Wilke - did you get yours booked? (nice to talk to Maureen by the way!!).

George on 20:37 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #7fe-16837
Could you not possibly fly stansted - newcastle cliff on saturday. sometimes very cheap flights area available and would cut down on driving. A few people in the running club have stayed in Amsterdam. They seemed happy with their accommodation but can't remember the name.

Den Haag / Amsterdam E19 / A13 volgen Richting Rotterdam Knooppunt Kleinpolderplein borden richting centrum volgen. I assume these are the directions to the Nighttown, Rotterdam from Amsterdam. The Undertones aren't mentioned on their site yet.

The paradiso club is right in the town centre of Amsterdam, near a famous square called Leidseplein. You can run to the station in under 20 minutes, I did that often in the 80's as they always started concerts late there and forgotabout people living outside amsterdam; I will look for some cheap hoteloptions as well and look for something to meet during the saturday

George on 21:02 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #7fe-16841
Julius - How far is Rotterdam from Amsterdam, and how easy is travel between the two. The last train at 03:59 seems OK, but Alex and Derek will still be having drinks with Paul.

Cliff on 21:53 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #1eb-16842
Yeah its easy Lindsay.Even if I could fly to Newcastle George I just can't get off work, bloody Doina won't cover for me.Honestly these girls are so selfish, I mean shes had 5 whole days to recover ;-).

Cliff on 21:55 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #1eb-16843
Julius, I Don't like the idea of running anywhere at that time in the morning with a few beers inside and 2 hours pogoing behind me.

Cliff on 21:56 2nd-Oct-02 GMT #1eb-16844

Flying Fri morn leaving Mon afternoon. It might be an idea for me to go for the 3 night stay and travel back to Hamsterjam on the Fri night(well Sat morn). That would mean going Amsterdam city book in drop my carry out and spare thong then go to Rotterdam. Open to suggestion though so if anyone has a good plan then be like Sonny Bono's ex missus.
