Blimey Alex, it was so one sided it was almost boring.Celtic can play good football against teams that arent good enough to stop them, i.e. everyone in Scotland except Rangers.Fortunately for you and Celtic Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole have a habit of trying to walk the ball into the net. Cliff on 12:07 1st-Nov-02 GMT #9f1-17357 Sorry George but I have to pick you up on this Sunderland thing.Sunderland supporters should celebrate the fact that they are IN the premiership, not get upset that their not in the top 7 or 8....in my lifetime(41 glorious years)Sunderland have spent much more time out of the top division than in it and as you told me yourself they only get good crowds coz season tickets cost peanuts. Lee on 12:42 1st-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17358 I'll agree with George on the view that it is only the overseas players that look comfortable on the ball. I had hoped many years ago that the influx of overseas players would help our quality of football but it just hasn't happened. I think our schools and academies still have a lot of work to do in breaking down this playing at 100mph mentality. Yes it can be exciting and I'd hate to lose the excitement from the game but there has to be a balance that matches excitement with good quality football. Lee on 12:44 1st-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17359 Anyone seen the Moondogs site lately? Their album is recorded and just needs mastering. Expected release date is Feb. 2003. I've lost track - when is any Undertones material expected? What's the chance of releases together with a few combined gigs? Vinny on 13:19 1st-Nov-02 GMT [www.whoohoo.net/operababy/operababy.swf] #15f-17360 Anyone feeling a bit down today, have a look at the weblink. I nearly died laughing at it!! wilke on 13:34 1st-Nov-02 GMT #949-17361 have just seen operababy vinny great but how do you sent it on to other try but with no luck. Vinny on 13:44 1st-Nov-02 GMT #15f-17362 Wilke, I have just sent the link by email. You can then forward my message to whoever. Cliff on 13:49 1st-Nov-02 GMT #c15-17363 thats brilliant Vinny, that baby looks so much like Ollie its uncanny.Shouldn't the song be 'Mommy AND Daddy' though? cliff on 15:45 1st-Nov-02 GMT [cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll] #1f9-17364 yet another compilation with 'teenage kicks' in it. AlexD on 17:34 1st-Nov-02 GMT #96e-17365 So we beat Juve, Ajax, and Porto playing crap? I suppose they're not as good as anyone in the mighty Premiership though. Celtic were very poor last night and managed to win and I think we'll go through. Just my humble opinion and not the reasoned voice of football!! George on 18:52 1st-Nov-02 GMT #329-17366 I must admit that for most of my life Sunderland have played crap, with only the odd glimmer of hope to keep you hanging on. Can you imagine though what we would do if our favourite band played crap week in week out, possibly playing Billy on bass, Michael on drums etc (i.e. out of position) Would we still go back loyally to the next gig, or would we eventually call it quits and follow another band (for band substitute the words sport, or heaven bid a rival team). Jackie on 19:01 1st-Nov-02 GMT #81e-17367 Just checking the postings before I go out for post payday lager and curry- seems its all football talk at the moment...we need more talk about chocolate by girls!!! Cliff on 19:20 1st-Nov-02 GMT #5ef-17368 According to another Scottish supporter I know Alex..you did exactly that.PLayed poorly after being outplayed by those teams but still won.Oh well, thats the sign of a great team ;-)) donald on 20:28 1st-Nov-02 GMT #e46-17369 Comparing the mighty Undertones with football, I am shocked stunned and more than a little disappointed. 2 days til Morrissey and counting. AlexD on 20:54 1st-Nov-02 GMT #ebb-17370 Tell him I can recommend several good Psychotropic medications for his confused thinking and altered perceptions. Is it December yet? I wanna go to Amsterdam! donald on 21:37 1st-Nov-02 GMT #e46-17371 We cant have Morrissey feeeling happy, itjust wouldnt be right without the paranoia, low esteem and Gladioli. Off to vist daughter at Uni this w/e. Shes very upset after discovering that 2 of her friends mainly listen to 70's punk including the Undertones. there definitely does seem to be a younger group at the recent gigs. Dont quite know how they got into a group that split before most of them were born but its a great thing (even if my daughters still not convinced my musical taste is anything other than old fart rock - but I wouldnt want it any other way). Cliff on 22:55 1st-Nov-02 GMT [cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll] #a80-17372 the 'unearthed' album is on ebay...link above.the seller is from Essex, not me, promise.Alex, we'll discuss it over a pint in Holland.I wonder if Celtic could beat the baggies??...... wilke on 23:56 1st-Nov-02 GMT #949-17373 has anyone heard the dance version of rinestone cowbay i think its says alot about to days music.have to go now going to a kickboxing comp with my kids [who are fighting not me] have to get up a 5.30 am so tssy
