Lee on 20:12 5th-Nov-02 GMT #ce9-17415 Anyone who reads Q will know that once in a while when reviewing classic albums they often have a spot where they explain the moment a cetain song takes off. Usually I think they are fairly obvious and can often think of better moments. Tonight I was listening to Windfall - a track on the Icicle Works 2nd album when just after or during a fantastic guitar riff Ian McNabb lets out a joyous Wooooooh-Ooooh and suddenly the song just takes off into another dimension. So then I think - 1 second into Give 'Em Enough Rope a blast on the drum and the most dynamic start to an album kicks in with Safe European Home - and finally after an understated intro a magnificent wolf whistle starts one of my all time favourites - bet you can't guess what that one is. So what are your moments - limit of 1 Undertones moment please. George on 22:41 5th-Nov-02 GMT #52d-17417 I share the same favourite intro as you Lee. Teenage Kicks was a brilliant single, but to follow it with something I consider even better was totally unexpected. Other memorable intro is Leader of the Pack by the Shangri-las wilke on 22:47 5th-Nov-02 GMT #949-17418 well lee for me its got be the intro you got my number.the the this is the day .war story by the starjets.big time by rudi.and so many more it would take all day to post them.tssy
