Glad I've not got time to talk about the current topic of abuse lets just say I could be on here for days. Anyway, not long to go now. See you all there. Taking my phone which I think will work. Anyone who wants the number let me know. CMoS on 10:02 29th-Nov-02 GMT [spectredescalier.com/cc.htm] #296-17810 Shameless advertising - the latest SDE monthly release and MP3 stuff is available from the normal place. On same flight as Donald#1. Arrives Amsterdam 8.45. See you at the Airport? Cheers, Donald#2 Lee on 12:56 29th-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17812 I don't think society in general has changed but I think some specifics have changed. This is bound be a generalisation but I think there are things that children of today do that I wouldn't dream of doing - but equally I could find things that we would do that my children wouldn't dream of doing. Lee on 12:56 29th-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17813 I blame the Simpsons! Lee on 13:04 29th-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17814 I remember my first day at secondary school. There were only 2 of us from my primary school going to this new school and after an hour or so of listening to our new teacher I dared to turn around to see where the other lad (Actually Alan Smith the ex Arsenal and England centre forward - sorry about the name dropping!) was sat. I never spoke or did anything other than glance around but that was enough for this teacher who obviously wanted to impose his dominance (to make up for his lack of height!) so he hauled me to the front and gave us the first example of his favourite grabbing by the ear and twisting it technique. That always sticks in my mind as desparate and unnecessary. Vinny on 13:06 29th-Nov-02 GMT #79e-17815 Remember THE UNDERTONES?!! Lee on 13:08 29th-Nov-02 GMT #64a-17816 And then there was the very tall, loud geography teacher who I can't recall ever causing serious damage to anyone but his favourite was, without any notice or warning to launch the piece of chalk from his hand at as much speed he could at someone who had dared to not be paying slightly less than 100% attantion to him. Couldn't quite understand how he could keep getting away with this as his aim was useless and more often than not it actually struck someone else. He was always very apologetic about it but I bet he wouldn't get very far with that technique these days. doninblack on 16:28 29th-Nov-02 GMT #ec7-17817 Who started this? They should be banned from the trip to Holland! Getting excited about next weekend. First Tones gig for 21 years!!! andy @ on 17:48 29th-Nov-02 GMT #2b7-17819 Liam ,did Arturo promise you anything? Going to speak to that promoter this weekend [hopefully].Do you want copies of those cds? Cliff on 18:53 29th-Nov-02 GMT #9e3-17820 er, I think it was me Donin, sorry.Got a few varied opinions though.Vinny, remember who? George on 20:08 29th-Nov-02 GMT #2a8-17822 I suppose I had better get organised for next week and think about things like the funny money. Suppose I have a bit left from Limerick/Galway if I can find it. I would like a Holland t-shirt as well Cliff. Send the invoice to my children. It can be a surprise christmas present from them to me (the surprise being theirs)
