In Rotterdam there are two support bands, so it looks like The Undertones will be on later than 21.00. Amsterdam seems a bit strange though. The Paradiso website has The Undertones on at 21.00 BUT at 22.00 some other act, and then another at 0.30. Surely The Undertones aren't the support act to someone else? And surely they will be on for a bit longer? I hope I've misundertood. Julius, any ideas?

Just sorted out a business trip for Holland on Thurs./Fri. so I'll be there for the week-end. I'll probably just be doing the Amsterdam gig (Julius are tickets still on sale?). I don't fancy the late night run from Rotterdam to back to Amsterdam. Are there any plans for meeting up on Saturday yet ?

I've been told not to leave your drinks unattended in Amsterdam in case things get added to them. Not that some of you leave your drinks in the glass long enough anyway.

My mam did not think my attire for Saturday night was very appropriate and insisted I should wrap up warmer- huh we're not going far are we?? She did offer to lend me her gold strappy sandals. wilke-if you go to ticketmaster ireland there are still tickets left for Donny at Belfast and Dublin. But beware, they cost a lot! Make a nice surprise Xmas present though. Tell her they are sold out and buy her one anyway.

Cliff - I know what you mean. Lets see what happens, its sold as a relaxing weekend for two in Amsterdam and I'll just be taking a few hours out on the Saturday ... Put me down for a T-shirt anyway - you can all black out rotterdam if I only make it for half the fun.

Paradiso has several 'halls', it is a converted church. The Undertones play on the main altar and other bands play on the place where the organ used to be, I dont know how they match all these gigs but I am sure you will love this place.

The weatherman predicts it will be a cold weekend, 3 degrees at day and around 0 at night(in fact I am lying but Jackie's mum just phoned me and urged me to tell this). In reality it will be a very hot&sunny weekend, the warmest decemberweekend ever in dutch history...

In fact my history of nights out in amsterdam date back to 1983, so I have asked around and people-in-the-know advise me two places: Mulligans Irish pub(located at amstel 182, opens at 1400 and The Tara located on the Rokin, opens at 1200. Near the parkhotel you will find the heineken brewery (yes, revelation time) and on the brewey square there is a pub as well, Thanks Erwin for this info!!! The Parkhotel is just a stone throw fromn Paradiso so if David keeps you warm on this short walk your dresscode will be proper, Jackie!!! And Lindsay: how are preparations going? Great to see Rick attending, finally we are going to meet

I am so fucking jealous of you lot - sounds like a great weekend ahead. Little 'Ramone'/'Ramona' is expected any day now so the next gig I will be able to get to will be the Nerve Centre on the 28th.

I had quite some stress lately, so I am really in for a great weekend, had a great party last saturday which once again learned me how greatit is to party with friends. Still cant believe it, the undertones coming over to Holland. Wow, if the first tones sound I will go out and pogo myself to... Btw traintrip amsterdam-rotterdam is just a hour...

Alex, are you hoping to watch the old firm game at 'Tig Barra' pub that Scottieboy mentioned before? he said 'there is a good Irish bar five minutes away from the Paradsio called the Tig Barra on the Overtoom - just round the corner from the Marriot Hotel'...sounds ideal,I'd watch it and do want Celtic to win, honest.

Dont know this big tarra pub, but you'll surely find a place to watch this game, I think I will search for some alternative for the afternoon, shopping? recordshops? soundcheck? If only we all wear our tshirts underneath those sweaters
