I had the recent joy of phoning up for two Donny Osmond tickets. It was so hard not to say 'honest, they're not for me'. So the nice surprise offering to my Donny loving lady was accompanied by 'take anyone you like - I am NOT going to that'. It's the thought that counts.

I also recently walked up to record shop counter and bought a Donny CD - Christ that was embarrassing. A bit like going up to the counter to buy your first packet of Durex. Felt like the whole world was looking at me! And the b*st*rd has just released a new one - not again!

Does anyone know if the Paradiso is sold out as I don't have a ticket ?

Sorry to spark offa I love/hate Donny round of arguments. Lindsay I thought David Cassidy was too small and girlie, but I did buy a couple of his records. I thought I was the height of hip because I didnt like the Bay City Rollers at all, but liked the Osmonds, Slade and Slick (oh God remember them!!) Oh and Blockbuster by Sweet was just brilliant. I'm sorry but Donny has still got it (at least in the smile dept).

If you arrive at Schipol on Friday ask at the desk(?) if there is a courtesy bus to the hotel. Apparantly loads of them run from there. Or if not the train inside the terminal building takes 30 mins. Unfortunately David and I will not be arriving at ADM til 9.20pm so Rotterdam is out of the frame. Will be in the hotel bar LATE though. Anyone chatting tonight about 10pm?

Thought the BCR were ok but it was mainly the tartan that did it. Much more a Mud fan but liked Sweet and Slade as well. I still think Sweet sound great now, they had real energy about the songs. cliff was off to see a 70's band the other night, probably hoping for some Rubettes.

God the Rubettes were seriously crap! Those hats! Not many girl bands/singers in those days. Suzi Quattro-can't think of any more.

If Donny Osmond has to release a new CD why not just make it all his old stuff.Just copying old classics is a typical 21st century easy option,I bet he spent 1 afternoon in the studio recording it.

They didn't play any Rubettes Donald(saw them live once they were superb although I was only 14)Just lots of Bolan,Sweet,Mott the Hoople and other stuff, good fun though.

Me, I loved the Sweet and Slade in the 70's and Mud too. Today bought a CD by a French band called Tango, it was in the bargain bin for 51 eurocents, got it for free in the end (with a battery-purchase) as no-one would ever buy it and oh god it wa sone of the best Cd's I heard in ages!!! Great poptunes!!!

David Bowie was excellent, good live too especially 'Heroes' Its on my list of Best of Cd's for Xmas along with the Stone Roses, Strolling Bones. george finished a guitar CD (Hives, Queens of Stone age, leftfield and dEATH IN vEGAS. Ok its not all guitars). for you xchange for 'Der Mussolini'Cliff did you ahve a big floppy Rubettes cap?
