As i've been a few times this may help you all. There is a great flea market at Waterlooplein which I think is open on Saturdays. Anne Franks house is worth a visit. Canal Boat Rides are a bit of a rip off. Lots of Diamond factories that offer free visits no obligation to buy. Anyone into oriental food should try the floating indonesian restaurant called The Sea Palace. See the link. Red light district is a must if only just to look!. Bikes can be hired cheaply and its a good way to get around. see you there somewhere.

Wilke, it went in the post here at work on the 26th so would have been collected on the 27th. Unless it has been hanging round the mailroom here, you should have had it by now. It went 2nd class. Hang in there!

Bay City Rollers: didn't Eric go all 'New Wave' round about 1980? I certainly remember seeing the dodgy album cover.

doninblack on 12:04 4th-Dec-02 GMT #ec7-17925
That's me on ma jollies! See youz all in Holland!

Lee on 12:42 4th-Dec-02 GMT #64a-17926
Looks like Donin is first to make the trip. Have a great weekend all of you. Don't drink too much!

Lee on 12:45 4th-Dec-02 GMT #64a-17927
I've never really looked at Ebay much but last night I glanced at the bidding for the Moondogs album. Does everything that's up for auction usually have a last minute bid that increases the bid significantly? Some poor guy had top bid almost from the time it went on sale and missed out. It went for cheaper than I thought - somewhere around £50. I know other fans have paid closer to £100. I'd have paid £50 if I weren't so desparate for cash at the moment. If anyone sees another up for sale let me know.

Just back from Dublin, where i seen Blondie on Monday night.Absolutely amazing, played loads of old stuff and 2 Ramones covers 'Havana affair' and 'Pet semetary'.Debbie looks stunning and really seemed to enjoy it, as for Clem's drumming wow! Also saw the Manics play a greatest hits set on Sunday night and it was great.Wish I was going to Holland this weekend but have to work ,unfortunately.

andy on 14:50 4th-Dec-02 GMT #590-17932
On the Bay City Rollers, their song 'Saturday night' was the inspiration for the Ramones 'Blitzkreig bop' and Dee Dee for one was a huge Rollers fan! Also allegedly the Rollers wanted to record 'I wanna be your boyfriend'

Jackie on 19:36 4th-Dec-02 GMT #81e-17936
Everyone and their granny is telling me about how cold its going to be in Amsterdam this weekend- my mam even offered me her duffle coat for a loan. Huh us Geordies are made of tough stuff. As George will testify, coats, jackets(or even cardis) are for softies where I live! There was even snow all over Holland on the BBC forecast this morning. Just think I might get snowed in and miss Monday morning at work!!

Jackie on 19:38 4th-Dec-02 GMT #81e-17938
Why was noone in the chatroom last night?

AlexD on 20:34 4th-Dec-02 GMT #ebb-17939
Peter Noone?

George on 20:46 4th-Dec-02 GMT #3c4-17940
We were in the chat room last night Jackie, we just didn't want you to join us. Julius, Lindsay were there and Cliff joined just before the end. Doninblack hasn't been visiting Ikea stores today has he. I must be a big southern softie today, cos' I thought it was bloody freezing on tonights jog and finished early. Geordie by name but not by nature.

Julius on 21:15 4th-Dec-02 GMT #8d9-17942
it will be clod, but no snow! expect temperatures around zero celsius, I'll leave walking routes rotterdam station to nighttown at parkhotel-reception on fridayafternoon

Julius on 21:16 4th-Dec-02 GMT #8d9-17943
clod is ofcourse cold

Lee on 21:26 4th-Dec-02 GMT #ce9-17944
Clem Burke always stood out as a class drummer in my book. Saw him with Blondie several times and Eurythmics.

Jackie on 22:08 4th-Dec-02 GMT #81e-17945
Class drummers I have known...(apart from oor Billy of course),Pete de Freitas (RIP) of Echo and the Bunnymen..anyone want to add to the list?

Cliff on 00:02 5th-Dec-02 GMT #812-17946
I'd like to see Blondie live although having seen DH on TV recently I think she'd thank you for 'stunning'.
