Excellent gig was had by those who travelled out from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. Though why Derek arrived back at the hotel 5 hours later than everyone else! Julius is injured and unlike Wilke it wasn't by breakdancing. Jon is here. No doubt everyone else in the hotel will still be in bed. Expect more messages around lunchtime when they wake up. Got to see the soundcheck and for the benefit of Julius and Doninblack they played all 6 new songs. Difference of opinion on which supoort band were the better. I know which one I would want to take home after.

Hope those travelling out today have a safe and pleasant journey! If tonight's gig is anything like last night's you are in for a cracker! Plus there is less travel afterwards.

I thought the others would have posted something on the net by now. Derek was fast asleep when we left him. Still bloody cold. At least the Paradiso is going to be hot tonight.

Great gig last night in rotterdam, first time for in 19 years to catch them live and they still sound as fresh and energetic as back in the old days. It was great to be able to watch the soundcheck and hear the new songs. The band play with enthousiasm and theu still love it.

From the opening sound of Jimmy Jimmy unto the last encore, it was great. The supports were great too: Miselike played a great and tgiht set and The Riplets are all female and full of energy too: they might have a future ahead!!!! great night

Wehad derek ariving at 0745 and we had a doctor to see me coz I injured my knee badly in the gig. Derek even didnt notice the doctor visiting

The band didn't play Julie Ocean last night. When I go to see the punk tribute band they do two 45 minute sets with a break in between. I'll have to pace myself better tonight since I don't have the benefit of a thirty minute rest between sets. Good job I'm reasonably fit. Nighttown was an excellent venue. Atmosphere very good. No drunks pushing in and getting too aggressive. Could have done with another 50 people or so in the venue to fill one or two gaps.

Band also left out You're Welcome and didn't play anything from Sin of Pride. Not even brilliant Bittersweet. Played the six new songs as expected. Since some of us had the benefit of these on video for the last few months, I suppose they are no longer 'new' songs. Unreleased might be a better description. At least until the new year, if any of the band are reading this. Donald was working hard on persuading Micky to do a couple of Scottish dates. Don't suppose anything will be confirmed for a few month. Always live in hope.

Lastnight was a brilliant version of teenage kicks, the best I've ever heard family entertainment is great too and so I liked last nite's wednesday week. The new 6 songs are great, they have the energy of the debutLp and a TRex and TPE-feel about them

Thanks for keeping us stay-at-homes updated. The Riplets sound like they were a hit. And well done Donald for agitating for a Scottish gig. I stil haven;t heard the new songs but a cross between T-Rex, the first LP and TPE gets my vote.

Fantastic gig last night. Great venue, about 400 there, everybody loved it. Paul fits in great, and is a great frontman. New songs are very rocky and catchy. The band are as down to earth as ever. I'll get them to play Glasgow if it kills me. The 'old' stuff doesn't sound at all dated. The whole soundcheck/gig/post gig banter was a real buzz. Can't wait for tonight. The Paradiso is round the corner and the band are staying nearby, so there could be a party in the air. Long live The Undertones!

Have to congratulate George on his non-stop dancing down teh front. He was still boogying to the DJ after. 'Dancing with myse-elf'.
