I'd just like to thank everyone for all their support and encouragement throughout the year, and wish you all the best for 2003. See you all soon!

the SLF Undertones debate is very old hat,I am not sure it was ever heresy and certainly sustained started by either of the bands.I well re-call being at an SLF gig in Bradford to find 3 of the Undetones beside me in the crowd hardly the stuff of major doctrinal dispute.N.Ireland had and has enough of that crap.

Sorry bout the sound levels. Very loud I know, but they just kept playing harder and louder and after all, who am I to turn them down? Best place for sound? Beside the mixer. Worst place for sound? At the stage.

I did it again Arthur and this time it said 'hypnotised', strange, how it all works., CMoS probably knows but I wouldnt understand his answer ;-)

The 'How Ireland went Pop' programme is available on the bbc website, just click on the bbc radio player tab on the right hand side of the page and there it is through your computer speakers.

I did indeed mention the R2 programme Lindsay and then forgot to listen! I don't know but my short term memory has been shot to pieces. Could this crisi of mine be in any way related to the voluminous amounts of alcohol I've stuffed down my gullet over the years?

Arthur on 11:37 5th-Jan-03 GMT #421-18676
Henry, there is a list of programmes but How Ireland went pop isn't one of them.

Jackie on 11:47 5th-Jan-03 GMT #81e-18677
#18483 post -I think I mentioned it first!! But then again, I thought the Undertones were on last week. Apparantly not- though how can you make a whole programme on Van Morrison? The interview with John was quite brief but worth a listen and they played the whole of Teenage Kicks. The rest of the programme was pretty rubbish- too much Bob Geldof(and U2!)

henry on 12:26 5th-Jan-03 GMT #3c1-18678
Arthur, if you click on the tab that says 'launch the player', rather than the 'find out what's on offer', you should find the link. The interview with john is about 12 minutes in...so use the player to skip ahead in 5 minute intervals...cos Jackie's right about the rest of the programme.

CMoS on 14:11 5th-Jan-03 GMT #41a-18679
VTU writes #18571 'I'd just like to thank everyone for all their support and encouragement throughout the year, and wish you all the best for 2003. See you all soon!'
