Yes i do like football,lets just say i follow Scotland home and away,so as you can tell i like a good laugh.Off to Lithuinia at the start of April hope it doesant clash with Tones gig.Favourite Tones songs Get over you,Hypnotied,Youve got my number,When saturday comes and Bye bye baby blue anyway i could go on and on.I stay in Ardrossan about thirty miles from Glasgow,west coast,better go let the kids have a shot of their computer. Wilke, The Adverts avoided playing in Coleraine (just like nearly every other band on the planet) in 1978. I was 17 and trying to work out how the hell to get out of the place so I could see some decent bands. This was one of the main reasons I headed off to Edinburgh a year later. Anything to avoid the dreaded Showbands, Country & Western and Heavy Rockers! Were you a Casbah regular?

Lewis, I was at that Apollo gig too. Brilliant gig. I was at the front of the balcony which was bouncing up and down so much I thought it was going to collapse. The Apollo was a fantastic venue, with so much atmosphere. It was criminal they knocked it down. I was at the Edinburgh Odeon gig the night before too, and still have the huge lobster poster advertising both gigs. You'll be pleased to hear the band are back playing as well as ever.

Jackie, you could always alter your CV to 'Music Teacher', change schools and then hold classes on the History of Music. Then you get your kids to write 'An Appreciation of The Music of The Undertones and the Punk Rock Period' by playing records to them - all day, every day. Now that would be a dream job. 'Appreciate, you *******s!'

Did any of you lot with babies get hold of that CD that came out last year called 'Punk Baby'? It has a load of punk classics including Teenage Kicks done as lullabys for babies (although it sounds more like lift/supermarket/cocktail lounge music to me). I got it for Christmas.

George- you'd have a hard job wearing a Celtic FOOTBALL!!! I think you both need new glasses. And which female would you give the drumstick to George?? The lucky female who was supposed to get a plectrum after the last lot of gigs!:-)

Welcome Lewis, we are a nice bunch on here, all unbalanced nerdy stalkers but nice with it. Love your dream story Catcus and your comment. Some of the real tragic cases are obsessed with football as well as music but if they take the medication it is kept to a bearable level. You are indeed in for a treat with the live gigs , they are sounding better than ever. There is a DVD due out this year(Produced by Vinny)which should ensure The Undertones legacy continues - any dates yet Vinny? Coleraine wasn't such a bad place when the sun came out. Lovely bit of coastline nearby. The university did manage to attract a 'name' band about once a year; Smiths, Prince Far I, Serious Drinking, Europeans, em well I'm sure there were some others as well. Portstewart had Spuds too - saw Rufrex there. Does Spuds still exist? Coleraine was home to heavy rockin' country band Xdreamysts; whose single Right Way home was the next release on Good Vibrations after Teenage Kicks. Can I have a job with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board now?

Wish I had something intersting to say about football, but that's West Ham for you...
