Mark Weills @ on 09:55 4th-Feb-03 GMT #c93-19339
Is there any release date for a Teenage Kicks video/DVD? Any news would be greatly appreciated.

George on 08:26 4th-Feb-03 GMT #100-19340
Did you know 'Woman Hitler' is an anagram of 'mother in law'. From past experience it seems so appropriate. Just think, Jackie and Lindsay will one day be someone's Mother in Law. Some poor person is going to have a mother in law having better taste in music than them. (ignoring Lindsay's fondness for boy bands)

I don't know the details of the Spector case but what amazed me was reading the story and it said 'the 62 year old....' 62! Maybe I'm not in touch with what he's been doing but if he's only 62 I've not heard of him doing anything for 20 years. What a waste - if that's true there must have been something creative he could have been doing in his '40's or '50's. Anyone know of anything he has worked on in the last 20 years?

henry on 15:32 4th-Feb-03 GMT #1db-19343
Apparently Phil Spector produced a couple of tracks on the new Starsailor album. Other than that I'm not aware of anything else he's done since the ramones. Quite possibly this is because he had a reputation as being a grade A loon - waving guns around in the studio etc...

Oh those childhood memories! Just catching TOTP2 which had Sham69 and then the Tourists. Was going well until Nik Kershaw appeared (God those years were awful in some ways - the clothes the 'dancing') but then came on to 1 of the first ever records I remember - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mich and Tich - Legend of Xanadu. Fantastic! Shame the upbeat mood was shattered by following that with Michael bloody Ball and Love Changes Everything.

Am I the only being on the planet who didnt watch Michael Jackson last night?I felt well out of it in the staffroom today. Did catch up with the 20 minutes or so 'news' about the show on ITN tonight. The guy is bizarre big time if you ask me.

Julius on 22:11 4th-Feb-03 GMT #4e8-19347
I didnt watch it either Jackie and didnt fell out of place today, Phil Spector worked on the 2nd Cd of Starsailor, who have just made a terrible artistic move, by accepting a supportslot on the stones Tour. It was planned that Phil spector was to work on the next Vines album. Today mark ramone told on Dutch radio that he could not imagine Phil Spector murdering anyone but he mentioned the gun incident at their recording session in full detail, and Donald : I dont like Baby I love you either and Lee I agree about your comments on TOTP2

George on 22:17 4th-Feb-03 GMT #384-19348
Didn't watch Wacko Jacko either. I like the way one paper referred to his last LP/CD being a flop as it ONLY sold 7 million. I bet most bands wouldn't mind an LP selling 7 million even if it did cost £3.50 per record for marketing.

Cactus on 22:30 4th-Feb-03 GMT #1ad-19349
I didn't watch the Jackson programme either; I don't suppose he cared. I'm off to Belfast tomorrow; (my jet-setting, playboy lifestyle takes me all around the world)! Bought tickets to see SLF in March. (Am I allowed to say that here?) Ordered a copy of Punk Rock Baby from Amazon today. West Ham really won last week; it's not too late to win the league!

George on 22:46 4th-Feb-03 GMT #384-19350
Allowing for West Ham winning all 12 remaining league games and Arsenal losing all 12 of theirs, both teams would end up with 56 points. So technically it might still be possible for West Ham to win the league. Do Arsenal still have to play Man Utd again cos' if they do then Man Utd would also have 56 points. Would certainly make for a very interesting league.

Lindsay on 23:22 4th-Feb-03 GMT #a3a-19351
I did watch Jacko and what a pathetically sad figure he was to watch too - end product of a domineering father's regular beatings and the damaging effects of a total lack of love, support and respect through his adolescence. His extreme overcompensating for all of this was quite disturbing to watch.

Cliff on 23:54 4th-Feb-03 GMT #c08-19352
Georges comments below are a bit whacko to ;-)

AlexD on 00:27 5th-Feb-03 GMT #390-19353
Janet and Michael Jackson were at home one night. Janet says shall we get a pizza and video tonight? Michael says yeah ok, can we get Alladin? No, just a pizza and video replies Janet!!

AlexD on 00:32 5th-Feb-03 GMT #390-19354
What do Michael Jackson and Debbie Magee have in common?

doninblack on 00:41 5th-Feb-03 GMT #419-19355
George, admit it. You're really Statto, Frank Skinner's mate. Wacko Jacko made me glad I gave up tree climbing when I was a nipper, if that's what it does to you.
