Vinny - the Eric thing is I sent an email trying to drum up a bit of support for the Moondogs cd to people at random in my address book. You managed to escape! Anyway a couple of people replied and copied everyone. But Eric - whose musical taste is amongst the most dire of anyone I know - decided to have a go at the Undertones - not a wise move given the others copied on the mail. Good job he lives in America. George if you're ever over ther I can give you his address - he often deserves a good kicking!

Lee on 09:54 1st-Mar-03 GMT #266-19821
On a mores erious response to the email I know of 3 people who've not heard the band but have decided to order the cd. That'll be 3 more Moondogs fans then.

Any U2 fans out there with FTP software and broadband? I've found a site which could keep you downloading for ever.

Vinny on 10:30 1st-Mar-03 GMT #1a3-19823
Thanks Lee, it would nearly be worth buying a copy and sending it to him, he sounds as if he needs rescued!!

Lindsay on 12:52 1st-Mar-03 GMT #888-19824
Malc - you're a blast from the past. How's it going? As for Eric - with a name like that, there was no hope to start with (sorry anyone else called Eric). Mmm, will have to think up a suitable retort to that last mail... Wilke, has Maureen calmed down yet? Or has she already been down the shops to buy you a Donny-lookalike wig and set of gleeming-white false teeth?

Lindsay on 13:04 1st-Mar-03 GMT #888-19825
Excellent news about the Peel session. Surprised too as I didn't think all the band would agree to it after the discussion on Vinny's film. The new official site is superb but unfortunately can't install real player to listen to any of the audio clips (I tried but haven't got a late enough edition of Explorer to take it apparently - discovered that after I'd spent over 45 mins successfully downloading the bloody thing!). Is there any other way Liam (Windows Media Player??)

Jackie on 16:52 1st-Mar-03 GMT #6ce-19826
Vinny are you trying to beat my posting tally or what?

Liam @ on 17:05 1st-Mar-03 GMT [www.theundertones.com] #2b7-19827
No Lindsay, they are all real media files. Had do decide on a format that most people could use and Real Media is very wide spread and allows for file streaming also - so it speeds up the download time. Why don't you just download a newer version of explorer if that is the problem.

Vinny on 17:58 1st-Mar-03 GMT #1a3-19829
Ahem, no Jackie, would I try and do a thing like that?

Vinny on 17:58 1st-Mar-03 GMT #1a3-19830
I mean, seriously...

Any news on when the Cork tickets will be available? Its only two weeks away and I'm getting jittery!

Lindsay on 20:56 1st-Mar-03 GMT #d74-19837
You make it all sound so easy Liam!! File streaming?? Won't they get a bit wet?

Lindsay on 20:57 1st-Mar-03 GMT #d74-19838
Nice try Vinny but you'd be posting for days to beat me!

Liam @ on 22:31 1st-Mar-03 GMT [www.theundertones.com] #fdf-19839
Apparently there is a RAMONES tribute band playing in the Bound for Boston, Waterloo Street, Derry on Tuesday night. Should be worth a visit.

George on 23:02 1st-Mar-03 GMT #771-19840
I must admit I had thought a few times of telephoning John Peel during an Undertones concert if I thought I could actually get past the auto attendant. Then of course while the concert is on John Peel is the last thing on my mind. It's a few years since I listened to John Peel. Hopefully the date the session will be played will be posted on at least one of the sites.

Vinny on 23:51 1st-Mar-03 GMT #1a3-19841
It'll be posted on both George. Really looking forward to this session.

Stote, see the link which can also be accessed from The Undertones .com site.

The problem is, I've noticed, is that you still can't find out info about ticket sales on the BUD site. I'd recommend ringing them, or the venue where they're playing. If we find out any more we'll post it here and the .com site.
