That is great news indeed Liam, I'm sure 'summer 2003' actually means 'winter 2003/2004' but who cares?! 14 tracks, excellent.I actually hope they dont play them all live before its released so we can buy the album not knowing what to expect...that brings back memories.

Rick, the reason is Albion play Chelsea the same day(at West Brom, not in London) 4pm KO and I've already planned it with a mate who supports Chelsea.It's a real dilema, missing the Undertones so close to home is almost unthinkable, however it is a festival; so I imagine they'll only get an hour(still a great hour though!).The Albion V Chelsea match is live on SKY but I have a feeling the timing will still clash with the 'tones being on stage.If not that might be my answer...watch the match in a pub nearby.

Can't remember now if the official site said 14 new tracks, or just 14 tracks had already been recorded. Summer seems such a long time away still. Presume there will be a bit of a tour to promote the album. How come these crap TV show pop bands can have the album and single in the shop in literally days. Presumably a lot of money is spent to make sure it happens on time. If the band can organise for it to come out a few days before fathers day, it would be a most welcome present from my children. Would you not want to coincide the DVD Vinny with the album release/expected tour?

Albion are only guaranteed to win one more game this season and that will be away at the stadium of light. Whatever happened to the idea last year of the band only releasing new material in Ireland. Hopefully that has been put back in favour of a more widespread release. Will a single be released first? Will the John Peel session include totally new songs or four of the six songs played at recent concerts? Expect updates on the official site.

Great news about the album, and great to hear it will get a proper release. It's not that long ago we were looking at an EP Irish only release to test the water, so things have really moved on to a much larger scale very quickly. It feels like the anticipation I had waiting for the first album to come out. Any you know it's going to be Fantastic!

Julius - sent you an email but in case you see here first - you do not need to buy a DVD player for what I am sending you. It will play fine on the pc and in fact may not play on a DVD player at all.

I guess 'Our Friends in the North' are b*****ed once again- there is a replacement BUS SERVICE between Newcastle and Darlington rather than a train on the gig weekend. I would have to catch a BUS at 7.30am from Newcastle to catch a train from Darlington (this takes 1 hour!)to reach Kings Cross by 12.00!! Christ, I could get to New York in that time! Anyone got any idea when the band will be onstage that day? And any chance of a gig in the NORTHERN hemisphere??(I'm cross)

Did you notice this bit in the bra advert: 'The usual quality you expect from Undertones.' Can't argue with that. Instead of lobsters maybe the new album cover should show Mickey and Billy wearing black bras, along with that wording.

Jackie, I have it on good authority that Donny in Glasgow last night was amazing (if that's your thing). It made someone I know very happy and made her feel like a teenager again. Sounds a bit like us and the Tones. So you are gonna luv it.

Just back from seeing the Surfing Pinheads (Ramones Tribute band from Scotland) in the Bound for Boston in Derry. They were fucking great. Was chatting to the band before they went on and it turned out that they are big Undertones fans. Looking forward to this years RAMONES DAY in Derry.
